I've been taking cold showers recently in the morning, and I am seeing great benefits.

In the beginning, it was not easy. Now, 4 weeks later, I can hop under the cold shower instantly (instead of starting lukewarm and turning it cold slowly) and stay under it for 10+ minutes with no problem.

The biggest benefit, for me, is strengthening my willpower by doing something that you actually don't want to do.

Before you jump under, you get this feeling like: "I don't want to do this, because it's cold as fuck.", but once you jump under it, you've beaten your first obstacle of the day, and you get rewarded with a lot of energy (in my case).

They have https://www.wimhofmethod.com/benefits-of-cold-showers such as:
  • Higher level of alertness
  • Reduced stress levels
  • Boosted immune response
Anyone else here into cold showers? I really didn't like it at first and never really believed in them, but am amazed at the benefits I'm experiencing.

I am also looking to try out an ice bath in a couple of weeks for a whole new experience. If anyone has any tips for that, feel free to let me know.

ewwww nooo. I always use warm water, even if it is 37 degrees (C) here. I am on the opposite end of the spectrum.

That's the fun part. That was me, until a couple of weeks ago - taking HOT showers. Everyone can do it if you just push through.

I am taking daily cold showers. I love doing them during the winter because it builds up my cold resilience. I feel very energized after doing them early in the morning. I don't even need any caffeine ever since I started adopting them into my lifestyle.

Just jump under cold, and prepare yourself before you jump under with some breathing exercises. Before you jump under, just think like "if I hop out here, I will also fail at more challenging things coming later in life".

when you do cold showers for months you just get use to it and if you want your heart to race you need to force it

Yea I've started taking cold showers again around 2 weeks ago. Now take them every day. Just amazing! Wakes you up and gets you ready for the day. It's even more powerful than caffeine.

I agree. I've been lifting in the morning recently, and when taking a cold shower afterwards, I have so much energy that it doesn't even feel like I lifted. It's really weird but awesome.

doing cold showers in the morning everyday for 12 years now at least, instead of coffee
otherwise i can't wake up and will be sleepy all day :D

Feels god awful the first few times, but once you really get into it, it really feels amazing.

I've been getting into the habit of jumping to a cold shower right in the morning and drinking a cup of coffee right after.
It really gives you that little energy boost that you need in the morning.

Jumping to a cold shower right from the sauna feels even better, can't describe it.

I never realized so many people were actually into this. Great to see :)

Haven't tried it in the winter yet. Curious to see what happens when colder months approach!
