People are ready to pay for unique designs or slogans in a niche that they are passionate about. Create designs that have that are really specific like beer and fishing.
How's it working out for you?
Care to share any tips?
Seems like an awesome PASSIVE INCOME method
That sounds amazing, so people are genuinely interested about unique design and slogans?
Once you are successful I would recommend getting an agency to optimize your shopping campaigns (if not brilliant at yourself). Agency I use added 190% to my sales in 2 months.
The Thread is about POD (Print on Demand) but nevertheless good advise.I have being doing for around 4 years and pretty good success and here is what I would recommend.
1. Pick an on demand product that has decent profit margins. What I mean by that you can print on mugs etc but there will never be the margins there to scale to a decent level. You won't be able to advertise because by the time you pay for ads will be nothing left. That is before you even think about VAT if you get big enough (if in europe)
2. You absolutely need to find a way to print products yourself when get the orders. (you can start off getting someone else to print but need to print your own eventually IMHO)
3. Try out you designs on platforms like etsy and amazon (handmade). Sometimes you will able to send products to FBA if good demand for them through handmade.
4. Get your own website and add your products to it. (if success selling elsewhere)
5. Use google shopping ads to drive traffic to your site. Conversions and cost per click are great.
6. Once you are successful I would recommend getting an agency to optimize your shopping campaigns (if not brilliant at yourself). Agency I use added 190% to my sales in 2 months.
Hmmmmmm...
It depends on how you view it, your goals and the team you set up.
I started off doing POD, but not for passive income.
I have 3 branded clothing lines, I started using Teesprings, but will move to my own screen printing operation in 2021, 3rd quarter.
If you are looking for passive income and are not planning on brand building or having a clothing line, then consider these steps.
- Research and choose a profitable niche, (don't try and work multiple niches at once)
- Create UNFORGETTABLE messages that contain one or more of these types of elements: Amazing/Hilarious/Politically Divisive/Sexually Suggestive/Trending/Hot Topic/Niche Fanatic/Religion/Feminism/Witty
- Assemble GENUINE graphic designers with proven skills designing t-shirts
- Master Facebook, Instagram PPC, then attack and add other profitable social media platforms
- Before you go on multiple POD platforms, master one, and then amp up your game., (If you are using PPC, multiple POD platforms are not needed). You use multiple POD platforms if you are relying on SEO for traffic
Some notes:
- It's the message of the shirts that sells; the designs are secondary, you can have a INCREDIBLE message with a mediocre design that will sell like crazy. But an INCREDIBLE message with a BANGIN design will sell like C-R-A-Z-Y!
- If you self-design, you better be good
- Ugly T-shirt designs with BRILLIANT messages sell like C-R-A-Z-Y!
- Black t-shirts, outsell ALL other colors. After that, other darker colors follow suit.
Hope that helps.
To your success,

This is literally what I wanted to say.
I started POD 2 months ago by accident...
I was doing keywords research for another project, I found an interesting EMD, dig into it just out of curiosity. People were looking for a specific niche t-shirt; I was surprised to see only a few competitors and some didn't even have the t-shirt people were searching for.
After reading @MisterF EMD Small Case study here I decide to buy it.
My country is not in the supported list on MBA, how can i create the account? thank you. I have payoneerYes, I did it in 2017. Surprisingly Merch by Amazon accepted my account at this time (I just applied for fun).
It became "mainstream" (such as dropshipping) already, since then there is lots of competition, especially on Amazon. Luckily, Amazon is always expanding its PoD program by adding new marketplaces, products, etc.
If you are a good marketer, know how to get a lot of traffic, building brands, etc., then PoD is a very good opportunity. Pick your niche wisely then.
What print service do you use? This is literally what I wanted to say.

I bought the EMD, create all the social media account, set up woo with print service. Added 3 Design and stop to see how I can make it rank better while doing my research, the store starts getting 1, 2 sales per day with an UGLY T-shirt design. So I started to add more like 10 designs just for the sake of doing it and add some upsell just in case. But people keep buying this crazy ugly design, it is just a text message quickly made on the print service dashboard lmao.
I stopped to add a new design for 3 weeks and create Hat, Mug, and other accessories with the same text... guess what? It's selling.
Average order : $150 - $200/day with less than 100 visits/day ...
On autopilot (yes, yes I just take the Tracking number and add it to PayPal that's my daily work on the store)
What I have done? :
- Basic Design.
- Basic One-page SEO
- Setup All social Media Account and Automate them
- Write Two 2k/Words informational articles about the niche (I bought them).
My Advice :
- The Niche, it's all about the niche 200%. You can narrow down any niche and found untouched one.
- The Message on the design matter, not the design.
- Don't think the beautiful design will sell, don't do what others are doing. Go and look at what people into the niche are saying and want. This is basically what I have done, the design message all come from the niche Facebook group, the post had so many engagements, I just take the text and put it on a t-shirt lol.
