How do you guys manage?

I am missing those good and long sleeps at nights in my school days, are you guys sleeping properly at nights?

I am trying many ideas, none seemed to work.

1. Stopped using phones at nights.
2. Gym and Cycling for 45 mins everyday.
3. Tried breathing excercises.
4. Tried pills but that makes the next day worse with drowsiness.

Recently I bought a sleep spray (melatonin 5mg) on Amazon, that kinda works well, but I am hesitant to use it on regular basis. Anyone had such issues before and resolved it later?

I do. I can't clear my heads. Yeah when I am drunk fall asleep pretty quick. But when I am sober, I can't sleep. It takes an hour atleast to fall asleep lol. So I embrace it these days. I just go to sleep later and wake up later.

p.s. physical work out doesn't help.

The same effect you'll get from 1 mg, just weaker.

Hah, what happens is that I use it as well because engineering and problem solving changes something in my brain chemistry, so that I am like super fast and feel like a crazy maniac. It's a hard cognitive straining job. This is not very natural and you have to supplement your body probably.

So I take these pills as well.

Typical engineering experience.

I really want to correct my sleep cycle, obviously for various reasons! I have to be a role model for my kid, I have to teach her right things, moral values, importance of mental health. For that I have to wake up early every day. Thought of sharing it here to see anyone had struggles to sleep then overcome it.

I am taking it as a spray, they recommend to take 3-6 sprays on the tongue and take water after that. It acutally works well, but I am worried if there wil be any side effects or bad consequences!

I don't know how much is 1 spray, but I can tell you there's little side effects compared to traditional medicines.

That's a naturally occuring substance in our body. The only drawback is that of course it can be overdosed, so you have to hide it from kids, and second thing are intense dreams that I have (well, I like some).

Try ashwagandha.
The modern devil and snakeoil!

It doesn't make you sleep better, nor it doesn't take the edge off cognitive strain.

It's kind of useless as far as I noticed. :weep:

I don't know these "adaptogens" are all over the place. It's not really useful for large part of human population. It will only work for a very small percentage of people probably.

Most people need vitamins, sleep hormones and neurotransmitters. Cortisol must be up!

100ml bottle serves 300 sprays! I never took more than 5 sprays so far, with just 3 sprays itself, i ll fall asleep (only if i dont use mobile or laptop). Good thing is, it doesnt force you to fall asleep, it works so mildly.

I don't know how much is 1 spray,

ashwagandha is actually a cortisol killer and works for a lot of people.

@seoways there could be an underlying medical condition if even sleeping pills are not helping. Get yourself checked.
Yes, but I don't have enough cortisol as I'm a social isolator and the only cortisol I get is when I leave my house (4 times a month). :anyway:

Well, but I took it when I was stressed and KSM-66 ashwaghanda didn't help back then and I'm sure now it wouldn't help too. :)

Solution is to make enough money to not stress yourself out and it boosts your biological hormones naturally.

Men with more money may have increased testosterone. :D

If a man loses all their cortisol, they can't wake up.

Sleeping pills works well, but it makes me drowsy the whole next day!

And I had OCD problems i used to take Sertraline and Clomipramine, now the symptoms are under control and still taking Clomipramine lowest dosage 2 days once. May be that damaged my sleep cycle?

That's what OCD wants you to think. :p I fix my thought patterns naturally.

"Ohh, I damaged my brain" and so on. It's not true.

If you had brain cancer or alzheimer, that'd be the true damage. Pills don't disrupt it as hard as real brain problems / disease.

I always suggest people to stay off pills as much as they can. They can make you dependent, can fuck up your hormones among other endless possible side effects.
There could be a lot of reasons for your insomnia. You need to first work with a medical professional and get it diagnosed and then work on finding a solution. Trial and error will only make things worse.

I am seeing both available on Amazon, Can I give them a try? No side effects?
You seem to have that OCD and worry for real.

These are damn minerals. Just don't overdose them and you'll be fine. :p

That Twinings I've never heard about. Wouldn't try it.

Mr natural solutions.

I like them, but they don't work.

You know, banana contains more chemicals than any medicine and people still live. :p

Supplements / medicines aren't psychoactive.

Living in pain vs living in no pain with pills. Well, if you choose first option, it can roll you over.

haha. You had OCD issues? I have had enough researches to write a book on OCD symptoms. Well. that helped me differentiate the real and OCD thoughts. Those days were hell, lol..

I wont even wish my life time enemies to suffer with OCD.
