anyone has troubles sleeping?

haha. You had OCD issues? I have had enough researches to write a book on OCD symptoms. Well. that helped me differentiate the real and OCD thoughts. Those days were hell, lol..

I wont even wish my life time enemies to suffer with OCD.
All psychiatric conditions are similar.

Depression / personality disorders are the most common ones.
Well, I developed some, but I found that you can manage it if you don't trick yourself into some conspiracy theories that CIA created medicines to poison people etc. :p You need to simply choose healthy patterns.

LOL.. lol.....
You can type it in google and it's likely that something like quora / reddit will pop up.

That's why I avoid mainstream social media where people can post anything.

Best I found is YouTube cause there's one smart person (channel owner) who talks to less smart people. :p

YouTube is not 10000 random / crazy people talking to each other.

Reddit / Quora usually make people lives worse.

How do you guys manage?

I am missing those good and long sleeps at nights in my school days, are you guys sleeping properly at nights?

I am trying many ideas, none seemed to work.

1. Stopped using phones at nights.
2. Gym and Cycling for 45 mins everyday.
3. Tried breathing excercises.
4. Tried pills but that makes the next day worse with drowsiness.

Recently I bought a sleep spray (melatonin 5mg) on Amazon, that kinda works well, but I am hesitant to use it on regular basis. Anyone had such issues before and resolved it later?
You probably have a sleep debt. It's a bit difficult to explain, but search on google about it. Don't worry you are at time to save it, you just need to work about it.

How many hours are you sleeping? some people only need 6 hours (example: Elon Musk). However, others need 8 hours (example: Jeff Bezos). The amount of hours you may need also changes because of your AGE (if you are a teenager you may need more). In my case, I actually need a minimum of 9+ hours of sleep. The how many hours you need, you can only discover by "trying". But if you are sleeping 6-7 hours, maybe you need 8-9 hours of sleep.

How many QUALITY hours do you sleep?

IT's important to mantain the quantity and at the same the quality, you can't sacrifice one.

Search about sleep cycles (usually happens each 90 minutes). If you are sleeping 8 hours and not working well, try 9 hours.

When you try new sleep routines, you don't try day by day, you need to stay fixed for a routine for 1 week in order for the sleep cycle to adapt and see the results.

Are you sleeping AT THE SAME TIME every single day?

You should stop using phones/computer/ or even TV at least 2 hours before sleep. Instead you can meditate, or read a book named "Why we sleep" by Matthew Walker. This book is really what you need to understand why we sleep, the dreams, and how you can solve your "sleep problems".

If "why we sleep" seems so simple to you, that's why you don't know who Matthew Walker is, or because you haven't read "Why we sleep" book.

Related to sleep pills, please avoid them. The why is explained in the book I mentioned earlier.
Also if you combine sleep pills + caffeine, that's a brain killer. Stop that.

Here are about few tips i don't know if you are already taking
=> Caffeine detox, avoid caffeine (specially if you take sleep pills).
=> Sleep at the same time everyday at your right sleep cycle. Each human has sleep cycle.
=> Sleep at the same time everyday
=> Sleep the right amount of time you need everyday.
=> Take a bit of SUN when you wake up. (Minimum 5 minutes, ideally 15~ minutes)

If you want to go hard core
=> Social Media Detox

This is something personal, i don't know if you are doing. But try not to jerk off everyday, that drains a lot of protein and energy. Search the term "Semen Retention".

Hope it helps <3 I took it seriously because "bad sleep" is a "silent dead"

You could at least verify if it is true or just some... yeah... sex drains protein. What!

"bruh, don't have kids to have more energy" o_O

I am seeing both available on Amazon, Can I give them a try? No side effects?
100% - Ive tried pretty much every solution and this is the only one that works for me with no morning after head fuzz :) Like I said, its a game changer and you'll thank me later.....

It's all based on horrible exaggeration and bad assumptions. You're on a marketing forum and you should be able to spot these obvious fallacies.

How many hours are you sleeping?

Roughly 7- 8.30 hours

How many QUALITY hours do you sleep?

I don't think even 4 hours of Good sleep I have every night.

Are you sleeping AT THE SAME TIME every single day?

No. 10 pm to 1 AM . sleeping time differs each day!

Will surely keep this in mind.

Thanks for this long write up for me brother! Will be grateful!

The semen has a lot of enegery that has the power of making a child. If you want to make a child, go for it.
There are difference between "sex as a purpose of having a child" and wasting your energy without purpose.
I saw you posted many "interesting theories" in different places, but none of that really makes sense if you start thinking about it.

You like mix some true (20%) with 80% some new age Deepak Chopra nonsense. It sounds like Christianity packed in less church oriented way. It sounds like a spiritual fake guru bs.

And sex for pleasure doesn't make sense... not at all! It's not a catholic forums bro.

I'm not here to discuss :D <3 <3 <3

Actually your point of view is right as well, we are humans, and we need to understand each point of view each other.
If you don't agree with "semen retention", don't worry, i'm not going to judge you. Just mentioned a tip.

It's grateful that you are also taking time to help our brother.

If you want to go for a real scientific expert advice, you should read "Why we sleep" by Matthew Walker. And check what he speaks about with scientific studies and research.

If I want to have facts about a certain topic, I just stick to one school of thought and one expert instead of having "little bit of this", "little bit of that" cause if you mix opinions of 50 different people you'll get some weird connections.

For example you can make a conclusion is that if you do something in your bed, you get prolactin temporarily increased in your brain -> you lose energy -> you become a bad entrepreneur. Not true at all.

It's not that black and white - which is a major problem of all people and a source of all catastrophizing. Things are way more complex and this reality isn't that if you do A, you always get B, because everything here is large amount of interconnected processes and there's no possibility to have the same outcome twice. We're living in a large world, not a little test tube like bacteria in lab under microscope.

that's stress most likely, at least it was for me. what the hell do we have to worry about when we are in school, right? unfortunately things don't stay as carefree as they were back then and if you don't manage stress properly one of the symptoms can be trouble sleeping. what helped me is talking to a psychiatrist but it can be anyone really as long as it's someone you can be completely honest with. just sharing everything that bothered me every week consistently helped me generally relax more and in the end improved sleep a lot.

You can decide who you are. A dolphin won't be able to live without pills probably. :p

Chronotype is a tendency we're born with.

It's important to do the following thing if you are really serious at this, minimum:
(1) Make sure to sleep the right amount of sleep you need everyday. This is a must.
(2) Make sure to sleep the same amount of time everyday.

This is an important thing to take care of. And most importantly, if you are sleeping at 1AM and you want to move to 10PM (or the time you are most comfortable of with chronotype that @reasski described), don't make an instant change. Cause the sleep cycle is not yet adapted. Make tiny little but constant improvements => For example change the time you go to sleep by 15-30 minutes, little by little until you reach your goal.

Sleeping Bad is a habit => and you want to change it to => Sleeping Good habit.
Instead of thinking it's a difficult process, think it's a huge journey that will transform your life. And start implementing the habits little by little.
Instead of thinking "going to bed earlier at 10pm" => make it more easier! => think about "going to bed 15 mins earlier".
Instead of thinking "get out of caffeine" => make it more easier! => think about "avoid caffeine on weekeneds" => then you improve, by making little improvements, when you are used to it.
Instead of thinking "read a book everyday" => make it more easier! => think about "read 1 page of a book everyday".

If needed take an accountability partner, and make bets that if you "don't do X" you pay him "$Y".

People first need to get the HABIT then improve it little by little.

If you want to learn more about habits, because habits describe your identity and what you are => "Atomic Habits" by James Clear. :D

Avoid excuses on "can't because of X", start thinking on what you need to do, and how you are going to go there, strengthen your calendar if you need.

What world are you living in where you're adjusting something something like sleep by 15 minutes?

Again, all your advice sounds like it's applicable in lab tests on rats and not on humans.

Like which engineer or professional does something like that? Everyone got these things changing day and night, day and night.

One time you go to sleep at 9 am, one time 11 am, one time 1 pm.

Damn it. It's so out of this reality.

Yes, your damn science is dumb like these scientists who do studies on rats and don't understand extrapolation from lab / idiotic studies in hospital don't reflect dynamic of daily life.

This isn't even useful to understand how anything in business works.

This book doesn't teach you anything other than being a listicle of maybe 10 tips with long form examples.

Read a programming language manual to sleep better. It'll give you more knowledge too.

Just do notes off what you've read when you wake up...

This isn't how it works. You need everything personalized.

It could just be all replaced with:
1. Find what works for you.
1. Find what works for you.
1. Find what works for you.

Well, laboratory rat level advice.

A lot of good suggestions, especially about keeping a stable sleeping routine by going to bed at the same time everyday. But have you tried CBD oil?

Solving other people's problems from behind a computer screen without knowing 5% of their situation...

Let me help...

Here's a book! Didn't work? Here's another 5 books! Oh, still doesn't work! Buy this supplement! Yes, improvement! Headaches? Oh no! Take this to counter them! You remember that advice from page 433 of 4th book I recommended to you? Yes, that verse will solve this problem now!

The only chance is 1 on 1 session with doctor who knows a thing about sleep. Repeat that session every 2 - 3 weeks to consult what changed and what didn't. Inform them about your worries about methods you want to practice and what you don't want.

Sleep trouble is a medical condition and this thread is full of random, contradicting advice already. I'd close it.

Tinfoil hat medicine checklist...
  1. James Clear - yes.
  2. Calling out medicines / supplements - yes.
  3. CBD as cure all - yes.
  4. Rat lab studies extrapolated - yes.
  5. Reaaski pissed off - yes.
