Hi Guys,

i'm thinking of including a new section on my website for book reviews. I was wondering what feedback you have in terms of making money promoting books on amazon.

I'm not sure where I read but recently it was reported that Amazon saw an increase in their kindle editions rather than hard paperbacks. Anyone with hands-on experience in this regards? My site is well optimized for mobile (mobile traffic accounts for 20% of my website visitors), so with this logic i'm thinking of adding amazon book reviews in a specific niche.Any advice on this would be great.

P.S: Also how is Google's reaction to amazon links now a days? Should cloak the amazon links or just leave a direct link instead?

Thanks once again for any advice

No one on BHW promotes Amazon books??

If you bought Jr VIP, you'd get access to the Amazon section where they talk about all that kind of stuff.

I have a couple sites ranked organically in the top 20 for the niches that promote Amazon books (among other Amazon things), and I have gotten click throughs and purchases.

Not a lot though, I think since I started them I've made maybe $5. Could be because of the poor niche, could be the not top 3 ranking, who knows. I haven't honestly put much time into them to figure it out or try harder (I'm spread pretty thin).

I use the amzn.to short links, I guess I never thought about cloaking them, I do have nofollow on them. I don't know how Amazon's refer cookie fits with mobile, since if you're mobile you'd probably end up inside the Amazon app for your phone (maybe), and I'm not sure the cookie from the mobile browser would carry over.

Thanks guldilox. I'm starting out to see how it will come along. Already prepared a couple of 'reviews' on some select books from the amazon store with a couple of different promotion strategies laid out. Thanks for the headsup on the mobile tracking. Will research into it a bit more.

If you add 50 shades of grey on your website you may start making sales. lulz
