Anyone experienced Lucid Dreaming?

Also had a Inception kinda dream (a dream inside a dream), and when I woke up I was 2 minutes paralized on my bed without being able to move, but I have read this is another thing called sleep paralysis

that always happens to me too when i lucid dream, but i dont care much now, but it really freaked me out bad - then i realized it happens everytime you become concious before your body gets up.

I started taking Chantix a few years back to help quit smoking. The very first night I had such amazing VIVID, almost visionary dreams. If someone with the ability to have lucid dreams integrated some Chantix into the mix it would be extreme...

Did you end up quitting? Now that I dont smoke anymore I have a dream almost every night that I start smoking again! Its horrible lol

I have had lots of lucid dreams, i would say 75 percent of the time my dreams feel so real/crazy i can remember them for along time. I hear alot of people say "i had this crazy dream but i can't remember what it was about". Its like they forget an hour after they wake up. I have been aware many of times that i am dreaming.

On a side note. i hate when i am getting ready to fall asleep my body always seems to jump. Also i hate when you have them falling dreams. Worst fear for me is elevators for along time i had the same dream over and over where i am falling in an elevator

You get that "jump" because you stop breathing. It's your minds way of waking you up so you breath again.

i always thought it was my muscles relaxing.... if it is that then good thing i jump then eh lol

hey just watch this series (this is video 12 of 12) if you want to learn how to have lucid dreams, it does really help. if i practiced it more i'd be better. but i've had tons of cool experiences over the years.. in fact last night I had an amazing one, made out with this girl i like, saved this black baby who could talk like an adult, saw huge futuristic airships in the sky doing all kinds of manuevers and made weird/cool sounds because they weren't jet powered..

actually, one time i had sleep paralysis and a ufo picked me up. when i was inside the ship it was all white with awesome music and my body was make of sparks and stuff (although that experience was completely by chance and not intentional or due to this training series).

Yes I have had a few lucid dreams throughout my life. I research about it and stumbled across something interesting. If you realize you are in the dream and want to prolong it then spin around very fast and you will stay in. Or you can rub your hands together and will also help stabilize the dream. Try it, its fun. :D

It wasn't from a movie, it was somewhere on the Internet. I am quite sceptical as with most things in life. I've heard that some people use herb tea's but never heard of anyone using special music. lol

What interests me most about this is the fact that it's an unusual experience, it seems so incredible.

Astral projection? What's that?

Read about Astral Projection it's nuts! I actually taught myself to stay awake as I enter the dream state and you start to vibrate like a mofo and then enter a dream world where you're awake...But it got to freaky because any thought that poppped in my head would appear, so it's awesome if you're good at controlling your thoughts. But I would have weird scary thoughts sometimes that would get too weird..It seems totally weird and you can fly and do crazy shit while your sleeping. I'm not into drugs and don't believe in a lot of things but my first lucid dream sent me looking for more. It really works read about it and try it. I might get back into it now that I'm better with my thoughts...

Yeah, and I had tried everything in the past.. zyban, nicorette (great for chewing on airplanes btw), patches.. Chantix actually made my body stop craving nicotine. A couple weeks after I started taking it, my wife noticed I would light a cig and then just let it burn down in the ashtray. I was just so used to going through the motions.. it was crazy.
I did the starter and continuing packs.. I've talked to some people that just did a couple weeks worth and they started smoking shortly after.
I'm so happy I quit cigarettes.. been almost 20 year smoker.

Now if I could just stop smoking the crack..

I can vouch for it being real and pretty amazing. It happens much more frequently when you wake up and fall back asleep. For me at least, it didn't require much in the way of training other than learning to reality check.

Nothing special, happens to everyone just not every day.

I am always open to try new things, and did this as well as the sleep diet were you just sleep 20min every 4hrs, seems to work quite well if you can find a way to stay busy any who I have had both experiences one were I am just hovering over my body sleeping and some were I travel to the US and see some of my old friends could be all true or perhaps is was just a dream none the less there were both very interesting dreams or Lucid Dreams. I did use some of the meditation tapes during all of the events. I did know some lady that had her son in the gulf war and she would tell how she would visit him from time to time she was a natural I seen people do some really amazing things taichi masters, so call witches, richard blander using hipnosys.
any who that's my 2 cents good luck.

I have had quite a busy day hence I haven't really had the time to look at this thread,
will be reading the replies tomorrow as I've got to get some sleep now.

For anyone interested, yesterday, just before I went to sleep I have found this:

I've read that it works and I've actually tried it yesterday but 10 minutes into the thing my neighbours alarm went off and it distracted me lol, and then when I wanted to try again, I just fell asleep. I will be trying this out again right now and will let you know how it goes tomorrow.

I can do this most of the time. For anyone that wants to have the most intense dreams ever, (guaranteed) take 5-HTP, it's a supplement you can pick up at your local store or Wal-Mart (cheaper). 100MG for two days before you go to bed and by the second night you will have some very vivid dreams.

Hope this helps you guys interested in lucid dreams. :)

My roommate mentioned something like this, told me how he could fly around and levitate over his bed, etc. I nodded my head and backed away slowly. I wonder if there's any stats on people who start to lose grip between dreaming and reality.

As for more vivid dreaming, I noticed recently mine have been pretty intense and I can remember them better while being sick. Wasn't sure if it was the Dayquil I was pounding or just from tossing and turning while being sick, but either way was pretty intense.

I taught myself after my first accidental lucid dream. For some reason in my dream I went into my girlfriends house which at the time was about 6 houses down. I was robbing the fridge. Guess I was hungry. While I was looting all the good stuff I heard a noise upstarts and took off outside and started running down the street. Except I wasn't really running.

I was on my tip toes gliding like a possessed witch.

Looking down at the ground and noticing I was running without moving my legs just didn't jive right.

I was like wtf how is this possible and said to my self I must be dreaming.

At the point I became conscious in my dream but didn't actually know I was dreaming. So I tested it out.

First I jumped in the air which was a normal jump.

I then jumped again this time I got as high as my house roof top.

At this point I was sure I was dreaming and excepted it.

..then I jumped again and started flying. It felt so dam real. Even when I was about to land I nearly shit myself thinking it was falling to my death.

After all I never flew before. But I managed to land in a walmart parking lot

Next.

Time for pussy.

Yes I'm nasty.

I Closed My Eyes and said I want a hot chick to appear. Then a smoking hot stunning model looking woman appeared.

I didn't ask any question. Walked up on her and she was willing.

One thing I learned about lucid dreaming is you can't exactly control your dream.

My subconscious mind was saying like this is two easy and this chick is to hot for you.

so...

Im banging this chick in a walmart parking lot.....and out of know where this giant WWE built guy. Yells! What the fuck are you doing with my girl! And start running at me.

Next thing you now im getting my ass kicked with my dick out

And wake up after I get struck a few times.

Strange shit but worse things have happened in my life.

@maxmymoney hahaha that is funny!
Because of this thread I started to try lucid dreaming again, I got close to controlling what I do in my dreams this morning, I woke up, then before I moved I decided I would fall back asleep and try it, so I sort of fell back asleep but it seemed like I was still awake because I was thinking to myself? But for some reason I started dreaming that I was in the mario world but it only lasted for a few seconds it seemed before I lost it =( Probably the most vivid dream I have ever had! Looking forward to trying this again tom morning!

i have done it many times. but i can no longer sleep on my back because of the sleep paralysis that often comes with it though. that is some scary shit (sleep paralysis). happens if i fall asleep on the couch too.
