Anyone experienced Lucid Dreaming?

Damn, so many responses, I haven't actually thought I'd be getting this much. Thanks to all and keep them coming, share your experiences and anything related, in this thread.

I think I put it the wrong way, I never really meant unusual but something that most people are just unaware of, an experience like no other. I've had a look at the site and it's really interesting, the women in the videos is sexy lool. I need to see Inception too as I haven't yet had the chance to.

This is the first time I have ever heard of this, I will probably be investigating further into this as it does sound interesting.

I had a pretty weird one the other week. I was at a car park, and some guy was holding someone hostage. He was threatening me.. when suddenly I became lucid. I said to him, 'you're forgetting something. This is just a dream'. Then I pulled out a gun and shot myself in the head to wake myself up. Pretty messed up.

lol I thought you were going to say that you did something heroic but shooting yourself? Yeah that is kind of messed up.

When I don't recall any portions of my dreams is that because I had no awareness or simply forgot?

I think that you have probably just forgotten, from what I've read people dream everyday but they just don't remember it.

Indeed Get some shrooms or LSD. Or if you don't want trip that long maybe DMT or Salvia. SHrooms get kinda boring fast though :/

I've heard of this too, LSD and DMT are both illegal, Salvia is legal but then again I've heard people going crazy after this and doing stupid things. Compared to lucid dreaming, in a dream you're safe as you're actually laying in bed and nothing is happening with your body.

Now that I have been thinking about Lucid Dreaming, I can actually recall, I've had maybe one or two dreams (long time ago) where just before I woke up I've had this dream where I was on a swing in a forest or something, with tall trees and I was able to jump amazingly high from one tree to the other, it gave me this weird but really cool feeling and then I would just wake up. I can actually now remember this as it felt very real but I never actually knew that I was dreaming. lol

Lucid dreaming is fairly normal, only most people don't realize when they have done it. There are different levels of sleep, I'm not sure which level lucidity is, but you can train your body to reach and stay at different levels of sleep. If I had to guess it would be level 3 or 4 where delta waves are prominent.

I already had like 10 lucid dreams. Pretty cool experience. You can fly .. you can do EVERYTHING what you can imagine. But i advice you to not fuck a girl, cause you will probably wake up. ;p Really, lucid dreaming is one of the coolest things i've experienced.

If you smoke, try a patch 6 hours before you go to sleep. I've never tried to actually stay lucid in a dream but these dreams will be so vivid, it will freak you out. In one of those dreams, I got stung by a bee and I felt like I really died. I woke up really felling that it happened. Btw, don't try it if you don't smoke, not sure what will really happen if you do.

when most people dream, they're not aware of the fact that they're dreaming.
a lucid dream is simply a dream where you are aware of the fact that you're dreaming.

it's a fairly straightforward concept.

are you aware that you're awake right now? if your answer is "yes", then can you imagine what it would be like to be aware that you're dreaming? it's really not that big of a stretch, but some people still struggle with that concept for whatever reason

anway,
since our natural state is to be completely unaware while we're dreaming, there is some level of skill that comes into play when one wants to instead become aware of when they're dreaming.

and as with any other skill, you get better at it the more you practice it.

that's basically what all of the how-to's on lucid dreaming are about - how to initially get this awareness, and how to maintain it without waking up. and once you get the basics down of how to stabilize your awareness in the dream, then you can start doing cool stuff like flying and shooting fireballs and whatnot.

IF done in a safe environment with other experienced users DMT and LSD are pretty safe and its something i would definitely recommend.

DMT is simply the best drug i have personally had the opportunity of experiencing,I found a DMt hit to be like a very intense 5 minute LSD trip.

I've experimented with lucid-dreaming before and I made some progress to be honest. But, I think it takes alot of practice before you can learn to master your dreams completly.

However, I must say that lucid-dreaming is freaking AWESOME!

I have experienced it acidentally... Well I don't know if that was exactly it because I could really walk and move IRL while dreaming, after thee dream was over I found myself standing up in normal conversation position like the one I was having in the dream... It was pretty intense... Only got to experience it that 1 time, I wish I could more often...

Also had a Inception kinda dream (a dream inside a dream), and when I woke up I was 2 minutes paralized on my bed without being able to move, but I have read this is another thing called sleep paralysis

I have had lucid dreams before, usually when I realize I am dreaming everything becomes unstable kind of like a headspin from to much drinking this is because your brain is not aware of your surroundings the best thing to do is either look at your hands or what I like to do spin slowly in a circle once or twice until you are familiar with your surroundings I have found out this works best for me. Sometimes I still wake up from my dream when I am trying to stabalize everything. I have had a couple lucid dreams in my life and after having them I then learnt what lucid dreaming was. I have also heard that while lucid dreaming imagine a door and tell yourself wherever you want to be is on the other side of the door and once you open it you will be in the place. I have tried this once and it worked but as soon as I opened the door I was at the place but things were not very clear and I woke up because of this. I have lucid dreams from time to time but I am having more luck waking up from a dream and then telling myself to go back into the dream then falling asleep, a good percentage of the time I can fall back into the dream but I always forget it is a dream for whatever reason.

This one time I was having a dream I do not remember what it was about and at the end of the dream it went to a screen with random letters, as soon as I woke up I wrote them down on a piece of paper and showed them to my brother in law who is Mexican I asked him if the letters spelled anything in Spanish and he told me I was one letter off from spelling "The End?" The creepy thing is I do not know Spanish.

i do it once or twice a month. its hard to maintain, its hard to control the light. gotten pretty bored with it. every so often though its perfect. never got laid though. flyed a bit but had trouble controlling the height. sometimes you can ask other people in your dream to remind you your dreaming and "wake back up" - hit and miss.

Excellent work Danielle. The Schumann Resonance has increased in frequency by 20% in the last 30 years or so.
And since humans have to adjust to it, it gives us the illusion, that time is speeding up.

I have had lots of lucid dreams, i would say 75 percent of the time my dreams feel so real/crazy i can remember them for along time. I hear alot of people say "i had this crazy dream but i can't remember what it was about". Its like they forget an hour after they wake up. I have been aware many of times that i am dreaming.

On a side note. i hate when i am getting ready to fall asleep my body always seems to jump. Also i hate when you have them falling dreams. Worst fear for me is elevators for along time i had the same dream over and over where i am falling in an elevator
