Anyone ever sell a Twitter account?

Howdy,

I have a Twitter account with over 10,000 followers on it and TweetValue.com says it's worth over $3000 US. I'm just curious if anyone has sold Twitter accounts like this before or seen others doing it and where might be the best place to sell it.

Here's a bump for you.

Interesting my account is worth $4206 according to them, and John Chow's Twitter account which has over 56,000 followers (following less than 100) is only worth $5747
 
then sell it to tweetv4lue, they're the only "person" who thinks that account worth $3000.00, nobody will pay that much

i had accounts worth ten thousands of dollars (according to tweetv4lue & whatsy0urtweetw0rth), although all of 'em are banned by now :)

these sites are not counting just the followers (maybe it's the highest factor), but many other things when they give the value
 
Interesting, thanks for the links. Yeah I didn't figure that those dollar values were accurate but I was wondering if anyone has actually sold their account for any sizable amount of money or do you all just monetize them in your own way until they get banned...
 
I have sold many twitter accounts with followers to bhw members
 
Its not hard to get an account with 10k lol...defof not worth 3000 bucks unless it is quality followers for a specific niche...like credit cards or CPA or something lol
 
why pay 5k for 10,000 followers when i get pay a freelancer to do it for $100?
 
I have one at 53,000. It's related to a huge movie franchise. Any idea what something like this would be worth?

can u lend me your account..
because i want to use that for some online competition which competing on most follower I have.. if i have your account.. it's pretty much win for me.. u can change the password later.. because i just need to allow an apps for that twitter account.

if u ask legit ? yes.. because it's from NOKIA..

I can show u the link if u want.. but it's on indonesian language..

Well I have entered a few of my accounts on TweetValue and get everything from $7,000 bucks down to an account I made today which it says it $6 so we know that is WAAAYYYY overpriced. A brand new, 11 follower, no tweets account is $6, that's so dumb.
 
Keep in mind that this twittervalue site probably came up with the valuations upon the sites conceptions and have never bothered to change them to reflect the current market.

Much like many of these valuation sites. The set a number and leave it. For the most part I doubt any of them have market research teams.

Try and sell it for 500-1500.. see what offers you get. If none, lower your price and you have your answer :pirate:

i never know follower can be so powerful,
i always refuse for a follower....
 
Maybe taking out a zero from the tweetvalue is somewhere near the real price.
 
According to that, a 4000+ follower account is worth over $1000. This account also has plenty of bot and spamming followers. I find that hard to believe. If it were true, I could mass automate hundreds of such accounts in a month. And that's a 4000 follower account. Less than that...

Maybe this is actually true and I'm just missing out on an easy market.
