If your parents are Indian, then you are aan Indian not a Brit. Living abroad doesn't change your race LOL.
You do not understand how evolution nor genetics work it seems. The more different genes your partner have the less chance of bad genes becoming dominant. So if you are brown guy from India, your best shot for healthiest progeny is white girl from Scandinavia. So the "genetical attraction" of yours is just badly hidden xenophobia. What about genetical attraction? If both of your parents are Indian origin, from evolutionary point of view, don't you think you should feel attraction for them?
Take my example. I am Indian myself, that's is why I don't find blonde girls attractive at all. So much so that I don't watch porn clips with one blonde and one brunette...!
If he grew up in britain, has the british nationality and feels british, why should he not be british? @zubidoo @fireandgold

First of all, in my head - you're Indian, just cause you grew up in Britain doesn't make you less Indian (take that to the bank).
so you want to date someone's child because you are someone's child that was told to date someone's child (did i confuse you?)
Anywho, after losing someone I loved and just getting 'sorry' from my friends and family, I've learnt to understand that your happiness is KEY (take that to the doctor).
You've experimented with different cultures (girls) - one more experiment won't hurt you.
Personally, I'm thinking of dating ...
I'm a British guy and although my parent are both of Indian origin I have always considered myself British. I've never dated or been in any romantic association or relationship with an Indian girl before.
As I'm British, I've only really found other British girls or from English speaking western countries as relationship material due to cultural similarities (I've always felt there has to be some common social grounds for a relationship to really work!)
Ethnicity has never really bothered me much, most of my past experiences have been diverse but mostly British, I've dated a British carribean girl for some time, two British Pakistani girls (one of them was a true relationship my best <3) Turkish (worst experience!) and in high school a British Chinese girl (also quite serious until I got to college) but most have been English white.
Internationally - only South African and Canadian at Uni over three years and a brief fumble with a Vietnamese girl.
Thing is my parents for about a year have been pressuring me to look for an Indian girl and they're more interested in Indian girls form India - over the course of this year I've met numerous Indian girls and although I'm not usually the one to tar people with the same brush I have to say in every single case up till now I've never met any girls who are so stuck up in my entire life!
Every single little thing with them seems to be a close-minded act of judgement and worse, their families are always more interested in family background and personal income and net worth than the quality of the guy himself.
This has been the case with all of them. There is always an aura of coldness I sense about them that I've never felt with any girl before. Every single one is so obsessed with wanting to be 'western' that they're just tripping over their own feet in the process and don't seem to be at peace with themselves at all (or anyone else).
Thankfully, now I think I've managed to find a girl who is suitable. From Delhi but is studying here down to earth - not completely self-consumed like the others not judgemental or interested in money or just settling in the UK for the sake of it and just happy go lucky - maybe I just like her because she's different to all the others I've met so far during my travels to India but I just wanted to ask for anyone with experience with Indian girls is there any particular social trajectory they like? What kind of things in your experience makes Indian girls different and how can you bond with them (socially and emotionally) I might not be too familiar with things culturally but I have a good feeling about this one and am very very eager to give it a shot!
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
"Indian" is not a race. Its not even ethnicity as there are many different ethnic groups in India. So what Indian is then? Nationality maybe?. As citizen born and living in India . Did he met this condition? Nope. So, he is indeed Brit (as person born and living in the Great Britain). If your parents are Indian, then you are aan Indian not a Brit. Omg this is getting a bit annoying now - Republic of India is only about 60 years - an Indian is a citizen of that country. This does not apply here. I don’t say jai hind. I say god save the queen (yes i’m a fan of the royal family).
Where I worked in central London I had people coming up to me and speaking to me in Spanish, Italian and even asked if I spoke Portuguese. Now tell me, in such a cultural melting pot like UK esp London where people can’t often tell who is from where, like in this case, how can you just up and say someone is Indian or whatever just cause of the way they appear? Whatever the case, it doesn’t matter, as long as you’re British at heart!
If you want to be pedantic then call me British Brahmin. I don’t mind that since there’s no friction but British Indian or Indian is stupid and makes no sense.
OK rant over :-/ Back to work.
lol @ my parents are Indian but I'm Jamaican
nah bruv you're Indian too
seeing the first post..
You have been a Playboy!
