I'm a British guy and although my parent are both of Indian origin I have always considered myself British. I've never dated or been in any romantic association or relationship with an Indian girl before.
As I'm British, I've only really found other British girls or from English speaking western countries as relationship material due to cultural similarities (I've always felt there has to be some common social grounds for a relationship to really work!)
Ethnicity has never really bothered me much, most of my past experiences have been diverse but mostly British, I've dated a British carribean girl for some time, two British Pakistani girls (one of them was a true relationship my best <3) Turkish (worst experience!) and in high school a British Chinese girl (also quite serious until I got to college) but most have been English white.
Internationally - only South African and Canadian at Uni over three years and a brief fumble with a Vietnamese girl.
Thing is my parents for about a year have been pressuring me to look for an Indian girl and they're more interested in Indian girls form India - over the course of this year I've met numerous Indian girls and although I'm not usually the one to tar people with the same brush I have to say in every single case up till now I've never met any girls who are so stuck up in my entire life!
Every single little thing with them seems to be a close-minded act of judgement and worse, their families are always more interested in family background and personal income and net worth than the quality of the guy himself.
This has been the case with all of them. There is always an aura of coldness I sense about them that I've never felt with any girl before. Every single one is so obsessed with wanting to be 'western' that they're just tripping over their own feet in the process and don't seem to be at peace with themselves at all (or anyone else).
Thankfully, now I think I've managed to find a girl who is suitable. From Delhi but is studying here down to earth - not completely self-consumed like the others not judgemental or interested in money or just settling in the UK for the sake of it and just happy go lucky - maybe I just like her because she's different to all the others I've met so far during my travels to India but I just wanted to ask for anyone with experience with Indian girls is there any particular social trajectory they like? What kind of things in your experience makes Indian girls different and how can you bond with them (socially and emotionally) I might not be too familiar with things culturally but I have a good feeling about this one and am very very eager to give it a shot!
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
