Been runnin FB ads for a while n somethin's been buggin me — the in-platform reported CPA/ROAS numbers have been lookin noticeably better than what my actual backend (Shopify/CRM) conversion data shows the past couple months. Not a small gap either, sometimes 20-30% off. Curious if anyone else is seein this discrepancy widen recently, or if it's just my accounts

i have been running ads for last 3 yeaars but there is no single mismatch in my meta and shopify reports. Checke carefully there must be a issue regardign your conversion tracking.

Which tracking tool are you using?

Yes, you likely made a mistake in setting up your conversion tracking and sending them to Facebook Ads.

1. Incorrect event recording settings.
2. An error occurred during the conversion transfer process.

Yeah seeing similar things lately. FB tracking looks a bit too optimistic compared to backend numbers.

I think the best way is to use Meta data for optimization, but always check the real numbers from Shopify/CRM to see the actual performance.

You can test with UTM tracking and a proper server-side tracking setup. Shopify/CRM data should give a clearer picture.
