Anyone doing at home workouts?

I kinda feel shitty now that I’ve successfully missed a gym session for 7 consecutive days. I’ve got the dumbbells but no barbells. I also don’t have a bench.

I got a bar where I can do some pull ups but anyone have an alternative for a bench press that doesn’t include stacking my weights into a backpack and then doing weighted push ups?

Ps. Here’s a niche for you. I’m in about 6000 different Facebook groups across a few niches and people are trying to push the “subscribe for an at home workout program” deal to a bunch of old people and it’s working out great for them. If someone here is doing this and I just revealed your stuff, I’m sorry.

Doing push ups , pull ups , planks and dumbbell sets every day . You can skip the dumbbells if you don't have any , bodyweight exercises are fine , just grind them hard and if they seem easy to you there is always a way to make an exercise harder.

Got any alternatives for a bench press? Besides weighted pushups ofc.

I have a small barbell (6kg one), pull up bar 2 adjustable dumbells up to 22 kg each and i can adjust the barbell up to 40 kg. I mean, i dont want to be a bodybuilder and no time for gym in the last year. Doing 5 sets of pull ups to failure for back up to 4 times/ week and for the rest of muscles, 1 time/week 12-16 sets. I know it's not enough for a hardcore fitness guy, but it's decent if you want to be in shape.

Should be enough till the lockdown ceases. I’m just trying not to lose any gains I’ve made lol.

i am making pus ups and some gym for my back , :) i started with 5 pus ups and now i am making 100 easy
You gotta tell me how lol. I’ve been stuck at 40 for a year now.

I've been jumping rope for the past 3 or 4 weeks my pulse rate is a lot lower than it was when I first started. I'm 49 so if I can do it I know others can especially the younger ones.

I mean you wont really lose muscle in only 2-3 weeks, just glycogen/water which comes back right away so dont worry too much lol.

Just look up more advanced calisthenics, handstands, handstand pushups, planche, pistol squat, shrimp squat, things like that. Same on the pullup up bar, levering, muscle ups, etc

Do some plyos or explosive push ups too. Honestly I get a bit leaner without lifting for short periods bc I am not eating as much and am not bloated lol from stuffing down food. Its also good to take a break 2-3 weeks of just calisthenics youll come back refreshed and stronger, I think calisthenics make people look better too.

I am missing my gym too. Sucks so bad and i hope they will open up very soon again.
What i did back in 2015, i build my own homegym when i was cancelling my gym in 2015. One was to save gasmoney and fitness membership and 2 because i was lazy. So i would say, you go on a shopping spree on Amazon and buy some great stuff. Especially look out for something that is called a MultiGym or MultiStation. With those you can work out more than just 1 muscle and have a large variety of things you can perform on one. I think i bought mine back in the day for like 150$ or 200$ and it has a crapton of things you can use it for.

I would also buy a cable station which a load of adapters. That way you can also once again, train a vast majority of your body with just 1 station. If you then have a couple of dumbbells and bars (i like the curled bars especially) then you should be all set. But even with just a couple of dumbbells and bars you can do lots of things. The most important part, is to keep enough waits that you can throw around, because i start to experience a lack of weights that i can use in my homegym lol. Gotta stock up on those.

And if you don't have the money, then your best bet is to just work with your own bodyweight. Depending on how much you weight, you can then set the reps accordingly. There is a membership website called freeletics which focuses only on bodyweight exercises and can keep you pretty fit, while you are not in the gym.
