Keeping all other factors aside, Google would prefer a 600-word, 1,000-word or 2,000-word article?

    Anybody tested?

It seems that the content and the keyword density plays a big role in what articles work and what is simply ignored by Google!

I remembered a guy who did an experiment with 500, 1000, 2000 etc words and compared the ranking between those articles. And you guessed it: more words tend to rank better. Especially if it is full of information which tend to be shared more

Keyword density plays a major role. Write Original content, because your content is worthy while posting. Don't use same keyword for all posting. Try to prepare your article in short, not more than 800 words.

    Lengthy articles get higher rank.
In another part you can concentrate on content to be fresh and unique.
Because google always look for articles with good content.

Longer the better, especially for main / pillar articles. That being the case, quality over quantity, so ensure there's not tons of fluff and filler, ensure keyword density is capped and that the article is good for the human reader and not just written for search engines ( unless this is a Tier 2 site ).

In Internet Marketing, Google is a very beautiful chick which prefer long things and being satisfied daily with another long things.

Try to be smart with Google and you'll get where you want.

While you are giving the big things to the chick, try to make every thing long, beautiful and unique. The chick is looking for something unique, not something which she already saw and is nothing new for her.
