Question in title. Seems very trivial for users to be wanting to control their smart gadgets like bulbs from their PC/Laptop? Does anybody know how to do it? Oh, and no emulators please.![]()
Yeah... May be I am being too lazy, lol. Still.. I mean.. there must be some way to control, as a pc is perfectly capable of that.. Weird... May be because google and amazon want us to buy their hubs.. who knows?Didn't see a need for that when the mobile is just few minutes away or Increasing pitch a little to allow Google Hub to finish the job.

Hey, thanks for the answer man! I was trying to avoid having to buy a hub (as I already have a PC running 24/7), but then; I guess I can't avoid buying one.I have the hub in the living room and the mini at my workplace. Having a display for Chrome casting makes the whole automation hassle free.
If you use Samsung mobile, there is an app that allow controlling your mobile on PC. A little research should give you a lead.

Also, how is the sound reception? I mean, if I yell from one room; will it catch it from another room? Otherwise, I will need to buy 3 (we have 2 bedrooms and one living room).![]()
Mehh that's really bad. Can't go far except you're closeby.
You need to station one in every room. I have the mini playing around in all enclosed region of the house. So you won't have to disturb neighbours with "Ok Google" on high pitch.![]()
