Has anybody actually recovered from the March Update, or having had luck with simply moving content to a new domain?

Yes, I have recovered one of my client using the variation of content posting that gave him more trust ability and helped him to regain his position and traffic.

in what sense with the change in content publishing? Have you also updated old articles?
 
I didn't do much while the updates were still going on and started just recently to have publishers change our anchor texts. I am also going to add a few articles and update existing ones.

I hope the -60% losses we experienced at least stay at that level now and that the punishment is indeed caused by the algo, and that the algo didn't issue us some kind of eternal thumbs down.

If there is no improvement within a few months I will have to divert even more into non-SEO marketing.

After being in the top 3 for five years, mine is now going nowhere.
It still hasn’t recovered.
And I don't think it ever will.
 
Yeah sure, you just need good backlinks "Follow" ones, "NoFollow" doesnt do anything so.
 
But has anybody recovered from the update, and if so, would you share what you did?

Personally one of my sites that has been ranking top 3 on most keywords for over 10 years has disappeared in over 300 keywords. I have managed to bring back about 20 of those 300 by changing the content and running different content tests.

I don't believe it is a backlink problem as I have a very good backlink profile on that site. Only thing I could think of was that Google did not like the content so that is what I have been working on making unique content on all 300 pages that vanished.

A question I want to ask tho is how long does it take Google to crawl the pages again so that I know if the content change worked or not before changing it again?

Thank you and anyone fighting this or anyone that recovered please help us here because businesses are dying out and a few customers I have for years now have been needing to fire workers due to lack of work :(
 
Can someone tell me what happened to the domain with the March update?

If it was me, I would have started a complete content audit. A lot of our clients recovered following a complete content audit and a complete overhaul of content in their money-sites.

Google emphasized its goal of reducing unhelpful, irrelevant, unoriginal content from search results.

However, in some case it is the E-E-A-T playing out as the main reason for getting the boot.

If your site has received a manual action, or has been completely wiped out of the SERP, you might want to start afresh.
