Hi all, I know this probably isn't the best place to inquire about google ads since it's not really seo.

I've been reading a lot of SEO guides here on the forum lately and they helped me out a lot.

Does anyone have a good guide on how to improve google ads campaigns?

Most of my questions are regarding how to group keywords. I notice that some of the more longtail keywords don't get any love when I put them in the same ad group with more popular ones. Also I got some questions regarding quality scores.

For example I got the keyword "pen" (hypothetically). For this keyword the quality score is 7/10. Then I got the keyword "Pens" and I get a 3/10..

Also I got some questions regarding how to put keywords in. I currently use the format:
+blue +pens
not
blue pens
or
"blue pens"

which format is best? I see a lot of discussion on stuff like this. When I started learning SEO I read a lot off bullcrap on big websites so that's why I'm asking here.

If this should be in another subforum please let me know. If there's another forum I should go and ask this question please point me in that direction.

Campaign structure is very important thing when it comes to Google adwords optimization.

Setup campaign with SKAG (Single Keyword Ad Groups), dont put all the keywords in single ad group. Only one keyword per ad group.
For example: the keyword is
Long tail pen
Long pen
red pen

One more thing, when you put keyword in ad group, best option is to use BMM (broad match modifier).
Example - +Long +tail +pen

If you want to use broad match or exact match type keyword. Create separate campaign or ad group for that purpose. This way you will be able to measure the campaign performance the right way.

Thank you very much for sharing this! I will be implementing this today.

Cheers,
