I've been looking into building a "Tiny Home" on a low priced piece of land in my area. I've watched some videos on YouTube about the matter, and I honestly could see myself living in one of these things.

Its basically a caravan that is designed not to look like one, hence, reducing the stigma, and , giving it a neo hipsterish name to make it sound modern. They have siding and what looks to be a proper roof; which is an improvement, but, what about the floor? I'm going to admit I've lived in a "pre fabricated home" and, the flimsiness of the floor was a problem. There are usually not enough beams supporting the panels, and, you get soft spots that you want to be conscious of. Its nice to have a ground floor apartment with a concrete foundation.
There is also a house type that predates caravans; a "shot gun shack" named because: its a design that would allow you to fire a gun through the open front door and have it exit the open back door with no worry of it hitting anything. "tiny homes" are not new, they are just being marketed as something new now.
Having said that, i actually like cozy accommodations and, if the roof and floor are not shit, i could deal with it.
The minute you add someone else into your life the tiny homes becomes a drawback.I've been looking into building a "Tiny Home" on a low priced piece of land in my area. I've watched some videos on YouTube about the matter, and I honestly could see myself living in one of these things.

If you mean a partner, that could work, depending on some things. It depends if she is terribly materialistic. In that case: she would not only want a "normal house" for the status, but, want stuff and places to keep and use said stuff. If you or her have a lifestyle of always going out, it could still work as all you would want is a utilitarian space to sleep and screw in between going places. It could also work for the opposite. If your only interested in vegging out on TV and computers, you don't need a load of space for that.
When a kid comes into the picture, that is when it can get bleak. If the thing does not have a secondary bedroom, your really SOL. Its law in many countries that children have a designated sleeping room separate from common areas and adult sleeping areas, so, your infant is going to be a ticking clock of pressure to secure a larger dwelling.
