Any theme as fast as GeneratePress ?

Looking for a magazine/news theme that is as fast as Generatepress. I know magazine themes are built with too many resources and codes so the extra weight but still some news theme can be light?

GeneratePress don't have news template. This is only the downfall.

Any suggestions?

As a stand alone theme? Hello Theme by Elementor but you will need to do some heavy customizations that, in the end, it will overbloat the site.

GeneratePress is the BEST theme on the market that perfectly balance performance with features.

The one that comes close is the Astra Pro theme.

Or, alternatively, you can check theme builders like Oxygen or Bricks, those are the best ways to build custom themes without having to hand-code anything yourself.

Personally, I would go with Oxygen or Bricks, if gives you so much flexibility in your theme building/design process.

If you want to stick with builders outside from Gutenberg, these are the best.

BUT if you want a real Generatepress killer, call it KADENCE.

This is not entirely true

What about DISPATCH and BROADCAST kits? Former is a wonderful news template straight out of the box.

Problem with Kadence is the same as in GP, only 1 kit for news (Niche News)

Another killer option that is slightly more complex to configure, is Genesis Framework with Magazine Pro child theme.

Also I would consider the classic adhoc themes, Newspaper, Publisher and GridLove. They are not all rounders like GP or Kadence, but I use them for a very specific types of sites that are very welcomed in this forum and we all love.

Looks great. Straight to my Doraemon pocket.

Try using Astra. It is the lightest and fastest when compared to GeneratePress but GeneratePress still has excellent performance
