Hi,

Anyone has a good suggestion on Virtual Machine provider where I can use window OS.

I just want to run simple off the shelf forex software on it 24/7 with my custom built bot.

Dont need lots of storage but it does require good internet speed, 3-4gb RAM.

I am looking at:
Code:
https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/pricing/details/virtual-machines/windows/

Wondering if any of you has other good suggestion where its user friendly.

Thanks!

You are basically looking for Windows VPS.

There are few providers here on BHW.

Check market place section.

That's a good question.

Not a good idea to throw such big amount on unknown sellers.

@feezioxiii is your guy. ;)

Edit: If you are too concerned about your data, then host it yourself. You either have full control or you don't.

Test a service out first. Then scale up your orders if they seem trustworthy and deliver quality. I don't want you to end up creating a shitlist thread within a week from now.

signup for google cloud. They will give you $300 credit for 1 year.

I have never used this free basic service before but I am looking to try it:

freerdpserver [dot] com

It was mentioned on BHW a few weeks ago. So, maybe search for that thread before trying it out. (not my website, no affiliate link)

Depends on where your brokers are, you might also want to look at specific locations to make your bots run more efficient (for example, New York, Chicago, London, Australia, Hongkong, Japan, ... are big networks hubs for Forex).

Azure/AWS/Google Cloud are extremely high priced as their main customers are enterprises, and their Entry plans don't perform well. Also you have little to no support if you just opt for one of their smallest plan (because you are just a tiny little paying customers amongst their user base :D ). You would be better off looking for a small-mid sized company that can provide service at good pricing and give you proper support! (since they are small-mid sized company, you are now 'something' on their user base ;) )

As always, thank you for your recommendation! :D

Make sure you don't host your critical works there and set your expectation right as nothing is free ;) Server businesses have recurring costs, so to keep their servers up and running they must make money in one way or another, either ads, your data, ... and I'm certain that "free" servers will never performed well (it's free though!).

Let me know if you guys have any questions!
