Any Microsoft Security Breach Happened Today?

Hi BHW,

I couldn't access my Microsoft account. I couldn't even try to create a new Microsoft account from another computer (different IP) in incognito mode also. It says service is temporarily unavailable. Earlier, I received an email to recovery email address stating "We detected something unusual about a recent sign-in for the Microsoft account".

What is going on? I don't think I'm only having this issue right now because I couldn't create a new account too. I've tried all the possibilities.

Any security breach happened today? Is Microsoft account creation & security features are down?

Any input is appreciated.

Everything is fine for me. Checked, no news about any security breach.

Ok. Can you try changing your password or adding additional security? If you can able to do that, the issue is only with my account or something.

Yep, it works for me, and I'm also from T3 country.

Surprisingly, Microsoft sent me a password recovery email a few mins ago. I reset my password and now I can able to log in & added extra security to secure the account.

Someone was trying to get into the account and i guess MS locked it temporarily. There were many data breaches before, so your password(s) or even email + password combos can be out in the wild, choose a secure password, don't re-use passwords between sites and enable 2FA.

I had a problem with the bookmarked URL I used to access hotmail not being found.

Worked fine through a quick Go0gle search and just re-bookmarked.

Why my can't add payment, always show "We could not process your payment method.......... ", then auto sign out get block.

Not only you.
I got the system saying "service is temporarily unavailable" too.
I tried around 3-4 times but it didn't work so registered a gmail instead.
