Is there any good protective computer glasses, which helps to minimize eye strains? Or is it just a marketing? Feel free to share your experience if you came across good product. :)

Check out this software. Depending on the time of day, it changes the screen's color "temperature".

Gunnar looks solid. The cheapest ones on their website goes for 80 euro, but it seems worth investing.

Have seen this software before, not sure how different color tone helps to deal with eyestrain, but will give a try, cheers

Does anyone knows other reputable brands to choose from?

I wear Gunnars, have been now for awhile. I like them but at the end of the day you should still follow the 20 20 20 rule:

Every 20 minutes focus on something 20 feet (~6 meters) away for 20 seconds

I recall I've tried that flux sw on iphone/ipad, but to be honest with you change in color looked weird. I'll see how it work out on PC

It will look weird for the first 2-3 days, but then you will stop noticing it. Do the eyes feel dry or do they just hurt? If dry - buy eye drops.

Eyes hurt and it becomes more difficult to focus while working. Is anyone working on Apple Retina or 2K monitor? I'm currently still on my 1366x768, so might consider upgrading later on if higher res. is much easier to work with

3M also has some good filters. Very expensive but worth the money.
I also use some eye drops once in a while.

Just what tonib said, it will look weird the 1st week or something, same thing happened with me.
That "orange" color that changes your usually bright "white" one looks freaky at first lol, but yet after 4 years I can't live without it.
Especially if you work during the night on pc, it will help you tremendously!

Flux is great. Takes some time for you to get comfortable with the new screen colors, but it does help. Don't use it if you're doing graphical work though, I forgot that I had it, and when I deactivated it the colors were all fucked :D

That's the whole point of that software.
You can try also by lowering you brightness to minimum, but I prefer flux with orange color :D

I didn't tell you to go drink a ton of vitamin A. You need to learn the relation that vitamins and essential fatty acids have with each other. It is true, do your research..
