Any Fiverr freelancers here?

Yeah it's true for some work in SEO but most other work has nothing like this and also people only order once and often forget to visit fiver again to leave a review. In rare cases there are negative reviews and most other new clients don't see them or just ignore it and proceed to order. The cycle continues!
The sellers are total manipulative with bad reviews. Very rarely did the buyer leave a bad review on accident but since the buyer can't respond to anything the seller says in the review, the seller can total lie and manipulate the reason they got the bad review.

Its very unfortunate and everyone should take fiverr reviews with a grain of salt.

I tried to get back on fiverr, I have 8 5-star reviews, added some gigs, they ranked first days and then they dropped down completely. I don't understand how I will make a sale if they don't promote me.
By sheer luck, otherwise you won't. Fiverr honestly is not interested in giving new sellers a chance.

If the buyer is not satisfied they should never mark the order as complete as seller has no way to refund once the order is complete, even if they want to.

Yes, some services are total scam and sellers reply to reviews falsely. But I have seen most sellers don't care about the reviews at all. I always filter with the negative reviews because that's where you will find real information about the service.

That won't do much though, the damage is done either way no matter your reviews. Bad reviews matter more to the algorithm than the buyers.

I used Fiverr. But I'm finding greater success now through posting my services on places where you can get a smaller, more closed off audience. For me, it's a lot easier than jumping into the competition pool.

I have never had a problem getting my money back from fiverr even weeks after the service was marked as completed and after I already left a 5 star review.

most Fiverr services related to SEO are outsourced to other Fiverr services(which is so dumb that Fiverr doesn't do anything about that). But yeah reading negative reviews should be a standard everyone follows. You're just dumb if you don't.

Not sure how that works, is it fiverr giving you the money back or the freelancer? What if the freelancer already withdraw the money and there is no balance left?

If it is true then it is terrible for freelancers because any buyer can claim they are not satisfied after receiving all the benefits of the work.

Why would Fiverr do anything about that? They earn on both ends. TWICE. (if a seller outsources to another fiverr seller)

I never had a situation like that, but it's piss easyto abuse fiverr sellers and get your money back. I can imagine even weeks later. If the guy already took it out of his account, he will probably get a charge for it later andi t will be deducted from future earnings (and if there are none, Fiverr probably will just demand it to be paid after a while, probably)

What's your method, where do you look?

Its against there rules. They just don't enforce it unless you manually report it. But your right, fiverr fees are outrageous so I don't blame them for not enforcing it.

Just because it can make them more money, doesn't mean they should operate that way though

Fiverr will take the money back from the freelancer Im guessing. I have 120 completed orders on fiverr with me refunding 15 of them. I want to say at least 7-10 of them were after I already accepted the order and left a review. Fiverr has never gave me a hard time and has just given me my money back no matter the size of the order(from $10 to $1500)

Sorry, which rule prohibits outsourcing your work?

You can outsource parts of your service but not your whole service. Eg: If I am selling a video editing service and the buyer also wants a thumbnail, it is totally acceptable to outsource the thumbnail to another seller. But not the entire video editing service.

I do not know what the exact rules say and I could be wrong but Fiverr HAS refunded me and banned a seller I reported when I found out the Gig was completely outsourced.

This forum talks about it: https://community.fiverr.com/forums...source-some-part-of-my-gigs-to-other-sellers/

Just because the fiverr support did it, doesn't mean it's justified. They do all sorts of funny stuff just because suddenly they have some power, and then they don't act on the rules but on how they personally think about the situation. I can totally see a mod from Fiverr banning someone because HE thought it's shady. But there is nothing wrong with it. Show me the rule, and we'll talk. But this means nothing and, as far as I am concerned, wrong.

It is not against any rule, my friend. It's maybe not the smartest thing to do, unless you have a really reliable person to outsource to who won't leave you (sooner or later they'll split though), but not forbidden. It's a free market.

I literally said I might be wrong lmao.

You just sound like someone who is doing it. Chill out dude

I think you're being sensitive. Maybe practice being wrong more often so you deal with it better because I am being very chill here, nothing I wrote was, or could be seen as, aggressive at all.

You're being very defensive over something very off-topic.

Also arguing that the Fiverr support dude who refunded me and banned that seller was working on personal interest is just wild but go off.

What is there to defend? If the fiverr guy acted on a rule, you clearly can show me the rule in the ToS. It's all there.

And I am quite active in those forums, and there have been many unjust (and later reverted) bans. Very many. And a lot of misinformation from customer support teams, too. Sometimes even contradicting each other or their own rules directly.

I think what's happening here is, that you just don't like being wrong and then you lash out. It's okay though. We are still friends. I don't mean you no harm.

Do you expect me to read all of the ToS on something I said I might be wrong on? Yikes.

The evidence is that someone has been banned for doing it with money being refunded. That is the only precedent I need so unless you show me something that says otherwise, I have no reason to change my mind.

The only thing you have said that makes your claim have any sort of credibility is that you have spent a lot of time on those forums. Which isn't much.

I can't prove a negative, and the burden of proof lays with the claimant (that's you). Unless you prove your point, you are simply wrong.

But I can see how you get obsessed with being right now, you are emotionally laden and not any more rational than a woman who's been told to "calm down". lol

Get a grip, man. We're all wrong in our lives at one point or another. You need to go through puberty and learn how to deall with it. Besides; The ToS aren't that long, if it's in there, you'll find it easily.
