Any Experience with Instagram Paid Ads

I think he just meant look into maybe hiring a photographer or upgrading cameras to produce higher quality content.
If you want to get shoutouts maybe look into working with a local photographer off Instagram in exchange for exposure for them. They take professional photos and you tag them in your posts and/or they do the same on their profile. With the amount of followers you have there might be some photographers willing to do this trade.
High quality content will help attract more attention.
We are actually working with a couple of well known photographers now.
A good photographer will not "work for exposure". Unless it's GQ, Sports Illustrated or something in that caliber.
Those that work for exposure are newbies, college students just picking up the "hobby", and stuff like that. Believe me, stay away from 'work for exposure only' photographers.

I personally took a look at your wife's account and the metrics seems a little off. It looks like you are buying likes and followers to build up some traction but that's the wrong way to get your account started. You also mentioned that your life is getting paid post but the activity isn't real. Would you buy ads from accounts that have fake followers and engagement? The account grew 81K followers and drops are already happening. You definitely need to fix that issue.

The engagement for your account seems really low. Did you bot anything? People do look at engagement rates and pay according to that as well, so keep that in mind if you are buying any followers.

Brian, remember that most photographers, unless they're Instagram marketers, have no idea what has a high probability to go viral on Instagram. Just because a picture looks subjectively "good," it doesn't mean that it will increase your organic follower growth. That's why I told you to get involved and analyze your competition. Start imitating what goes viral already. Most of the pictures that we take are with an iPhone 7+. Paying photographers is usually a waste of time unless you're trying to duplicate viral content. Furthermore, there's no way that the photographer is going to provide you with enough ammunition to be able to post 3 to 7 pics a day.

Followers definitely are bought. Grew 80k in like one month from 13k and now losing everyday. Personally I think you started with the wrong approach ...
