I have a doubt with profile links... the page rank always remains 0 or NA? The PR of the site can be good but not the page's pr... how does it help in that case?
any benefit to backlinks via profiles??

A link is a link, and PR doesn't matters much, as this is a numbers game.
So, instead of thinking to much in theory, go spend your time acting.

How then are these "quality links" defined? If it's not page PR, and it's not page content, what defines a high quality link from a low quality one?

Ok let's clear some things on this thread .
1- Bakclinks is a game of numbers : YES
2- Does the QUALITY of you backlinks count : YES , having 100 backlinks from a PR9 is better then having 100 from a PR1
3- Why Profiles links are better then forum links : Because Profile links stick in there and they rarely get deleted and Yes they get indexed over time .
4- Is there such a thing as too much backlinks : NO
5- I got dropped in SERPS after blasting with Xrumer or Scrapebox : It is normal as google needs to drop your site to find out where to place again and Google will place you site in better position , it is just a matter of time .
6- How many backlinks should I post a day : as much as you can
7- Should I post my backlinks over time or should I do it in one shot : It is up to you posting over time wont get your site dropped and you will see your site climbing on the Serps slowly ,, but you post in one shot you will be dropped far away from page 1 and then you will come back stronger
8- If I do it in one shot and I get dropped , how long does it take for google to show my website on page 1 : Posting too many backlinks doesn t mean you will come on page one because if let;s say site number 10 have 50K backlinks and after posting you only have 45K backlinks you will rank after him . but if you do have more it will take anywhere form 2 days to 4 weeks .
Now before you start flaming Me and calling me stupid ,because sadly enough this is the case at BHW , All the questions are from my own experience .I ranked a lot of websites on top 5 on google and by a lot I mean xxxx numbers

I've been using profile links on all of my websites for about 2 years now. I will tell you 100% that they DO work ... and they work damn good. I've made 3 affiliate sites in the past year and all of them ranked between positions 1-3 on the first page of G.
These sites didn't make a lot of money but I ended up flipping each one of them for over $600 a piece. (they only averaged $15-$40 per month) The only reason they sold for so much is because they ranked high in the big G for competitive keywords. The only reason they ranked high was due to profile link building!
I'm subscribed to Angela's monthly packets and everytime I get one I give it to my outsourcer for $5 and he builds my links. He then gives me the URL's to the profiles where my links are placed, I then turn them into RSS feeds and ping them with Scrapebox then I submit to a few RSS aggregators. Within a week at least half are indexed and the ones that aren't I'll just turn into another RSS. I usually see a nice increase in SERPS every time.
If you don't believe me go to the big G and type in, "Angela". Her website should be number 2 beating out imdb.com and a bunch of other high PR websites. Run her site in Yahoo site explorer and you'll see her backlinks are all profile links. Pretty impressive imo.

Profile links are very important due to their unique ip's linking to your site.

If you are going to use quantity then go for diversity of your backlinks and this means, create some articles that you create backlinks towards.... this will help too...
around 200 quality backlinks (and maybe even less) will help you be nr 1 on search engines on low competition keywords... While thousands of poor quality backlinks will only result in a sandboxing or deindexation of your serps.

My site was well indexed from Google....But am not tried the xrumer service..i go for the manual profile creation so my site get indexed with in a week from 13 page to 7 th page....

They know exactly what goes on, and they work really hard to come up with ways to stop spam, but it's really, really difficult. It's easy to say "just don't count profile links", but their job is to do it algorithmically, inexpensively and in a way that won't harm the relevance of the majority of search results where spam really isn't a big problem.

Having used profile links on one of my sites for a very competitive keyword, i was at page 91 originally, and now jumped to page 5 within 2 weeks by building slow links up manually 3-4 per day without any automated software involved.
I did the same for another popular site which has been at number 1 on google now for almost 4 years using the same methods. So it does work in my opinion no matter what others may say i know aht works and if it works for me i will continue doing the same.
