Any advice on advertising my industry?

I am pretty familiar with the basics of SEO, but wanted to join to get your opinions and advice on steps of online advertising. Possibly a guide for me, which I haven't seen too many posts or sites on this.

As far as my business goes, its related to sexual products and should actually sell well since it appeals to a lot of people. I've already spent a ton of hours updating the website and product lines so everything looks great and professionally made. The product line is pretty expansive too so its not a sketchy looking site.

I'm not really familiar of the routes I would start to take or services to invest in so I can start and ramp up the advertising process online since I've never run an "official" online business (or been responsible for it). I try to look up guides on the internet but I get junk like "be into your customers and understand their needs" and whatever. They're trying to teach you how to run a company and not how to optimize your site traffic. One I know how to do and the other I don't. Hopefully as a member I can help you guys with any business related questions from payment management to site creation to suppliers.

Sure you have less profit from a sale but more in the end since you will be selling way more.
