Anti-trust Violation From Google?

I was reading a post at Search Engine Roundtable (https://www.seroundtable.com/google-update-21059.html) and while I RTFA I found what it the most compelling claim of anti-trust violation from Google (in my opinion and if it is true). Has anyone else seen this behavior?

ANTI-TRUST VIOLATION?

When your site sucks and you can't rank, blame it on something. Sandbox, adwords vouchers, something...

Adwords and organic rank have nothing to do with each other. It's been said a million times and morons like the guy at webmaster world still keep trying to find a reason for it other than his site probably sucks.

agree but if's the only source of good traffic then there would be a drop in rank so it could have something to do with a loss but not an intentional one from Google, maybe like you say the site sucks

True, but if the claim is true then the site/business sucking doesn't matter... the behavior from Google would be malicious, predatory, and worthy of oversight... in my opinion... I am far more interested in if the claim is real than why the poster has a failing business. The claim probably isn't true...but still worth asking the community at large what their experience is.

It's not true at all. He's trying to make excuses for his lack of rank. Google organic rank and Adwords have nothing to do with each other. Adwords guys can't even ask the organic rank engineers about issues with a site. They are completely different orgs with strict internal rules about this.

I believe you that organic rank has nothing to do with adwords. But separately I do believe if organic traffic dried up that this would cause a lot of businesses to flood to adwords to compensate for revenue loss. The problem is that delivering pain and confusion to webmasters in organic search can drive adwords spending... It's not OK if that lever is being pulled.

Bro, I mean it drops if you get penalized. Like you're using Adwords to link to your AdSense site.

So, if you are doing that, YES, you will drop in rankings. No one recommends that whatsoever. I read the' fine' print a while ago about using them together (will you lose your accounts etc.,), the results are inconclusive, but the main gist is just don't do it. Pick one or the other.

(If anyone has further proof using AdSense and AdWords together on the same site is actually condoned by Google please link me the article. I would be very interested to read it.)

How would organic rank dry up? For every site that loses rank, someone benefits and takes their place. I swear you have to fail all logic to be an SEO.

You are forgetting that Google is a money-hungry company that is slowly turning the organic SERP into a "pay to play" fest.

Organic Traffic & AdWord both are totally different. AdWord voucher cant affect the rank/organic traffic.

Not sure I understand the heat I'm getting. If google demotes product pages then non-product pages benefit... online stores shit a brick and throw money at google. IT'S POSSIBLE. ITS EVEN HAPPENED BEFORE. I know that doesn't mean its happening now. Certainly no harm in asking what others have seen or heard. So what gives?
