Hey BHW'ers:

I suffered about 15% loss of accts last night (Tu) and another 3 accts tonight (Wed).

Has anyone else been affected?

Thanks,

Risk

How many times does Twitter lock you before they suspend?

It must be the usual biweekly suspension wave, which hits on every second Tuesday, Wednesday. This is a well recognizable pattern in the last half year or so. These suspensions are pretty random with no consistency and make you wonder why Twitter suspended this account but not that, when i was doing pretty much the same with both.

How many times does Twitter lock you before they suspend?
This cannot be answered, there's no such number. You can get outright suspended without a single account lock. Accounts can get suspended, which were never used or even accessed apart from creation.

yes there are changes to all major social medias scam algorithms, but reason for all recent blocks are due to proxies, there are no more elites.

twitter doesn't like rusky tweeters?

Not sure but it seems like mail.ru Twitter Accs get banned more often than accounts that are registered with hotmail (for example).
Maybe i should also try to change my provider, because i think these accounts were created on a russian ip, and i used us proxies.

its also an reason . mail.ru accounts are the weakest along all.its quite hard to bot on twitter as it more often prompts to mobile no verification.

Yeah, about 10% of old big accs and around 50% of 4-6 months old accs

Thanks guys-

Jack Dorsey, current CEO at Twitter, announced earnings and did Q&A on Tu morning. Pretty easy to find the webcast via google.

He mentioned increased push over the last 2 months in addressing "abuse" - which is spam & hate speech. And, that Twitter is just getting started..

He touts their AI & machine learning in fighting abuse (blah blah) << I think they are basically keeping "quality scores" on accts.. but, certain things are far more negative for your acct than other things.. For example, aggressive unfollowing is nothing to Twitter.. but, DM'ing & re-tweeting your own links is acct death wish (so, I do not these things).

I think nearly all of my suspends, probably 200-ish over the last year, can be tied back to posting links. I have never lost accts that were not posting links..

Manual complaints are impossible to know about, but Twitter has made "improvements" that make it easier for users to block & report accts.. those demerits are not helpful to your acct longevity.

So, lets see..

Thanks Risk for the insight. Checking out the Q&A now.
I agree with you on everything, especially about that hidden quality metric of a twitter account. Having a percentage of real quality followers, tweets that aren't the same link all the time, genuine actions (minimal), no flags from others, and a phone number on the account are what I think saves me from the banhammer. (I'm also not running hundreds of bot accounts and don't create accounts using bots. I think when you're running so many accounts, it's just going to be a usual occurrence to see a percentage of your accounts disappear.)

Unless it's some super obscure one, the email provider in itself won't cause suspensions, otherwise legit Russian users would lose their accounts too, because mail.ru is pretty popular there. It's more than likely the ips, which were used to create the accounts and the email provider is mere coincidence. It's just that those email addresses are the cheapest or easiest to create, so cheaper account providers use those mostly.

I also think that it's perfectly fine to use US proxies with accounts, which were created from non-US ips, if those ips are clean.
On buyaccs.com, the ips which are used to create the accounts are pretty mixed, they are from all over the globe and came with mail.ru email addresses, maybe you're talking about this providet. :) But for instance i know for a fact, that Kastez sells PVAs, which are created from US ips, no email address is bundled with those though.

Btw you can easily check the ip, which was used to create an account: https://twitter.com/settings/your_twitter_data and the login history too, all the ips are listed, which accessed the account. in the last 2 months.

Yup, lost 20% of my twitter accounts 2 days ago. I have never lost this many at once. Not happy but who is, right?

I also want to try different providers but honestly everybody I find are just re-sellers of this popular site. All the ones I've been using were also created with russian ip + mail.ru.

Anybody knows a decent seller who sells aged twitter accts that are non-russian/non-mail.ru? Who doesn't charge arm & leg. Please let me know!

Interesting, never knew such a tool existed. These were virgin proxies, so im not really sure. Maybe i should change the Proxy-provider as well. And yes these were the cheapest of the cheapest twitter accounts from buyaccs.com, lol
I tried Twitter PVA'd Accounts and none of them are banned yet. That's why i was curious if it maybe was the eMail :P

All my accounts are getting hit with verification checks throughout today... with the "your account has been locked due to my behavior"
Some are asking to call my phone. Some are asking to send an email or phone text. Some are asking me to change my password.
So, yeah, just saying that I think Twitter is tightening up a bit

I use FollowLiker + proxies for one of my projects (adult related), but I'm only noticing perhaps 1 in 20 getting locked now and again.

I think it's just about being sensible. Each account only follows around 50 a day and a maximum of 135 once they've aged.

I also create Twitter accounts myself from scratch. I think when you buy them, you run the risk of the IP address that created the account in the first place, as I'm sure Twitter mass ban accounts that were created using the same IP address.

On some accounts, I do tweet the same link, however only once every 4-5 days.
