Another site hit with negative SEO

This is the second of my sites that someone is performing negative SEO on since the beginning of this year. It's really pathetic that people are doing this to outrank others, instead of putting time and effort into their own sites. Just found hundreds of these links in Ahrefs and it pisses me off.

Most neg-SEO attempts are useless and you can simply ignore them.

It has not yet influenced the rankings, but as far as I can see these links they've built are pretty new. It scares me because it could be a matter of days before my site gets penalized. I've also seen many porn links in my GSC before on this website, it's pathetic that people go this far and ruin someone else's work.

Unless your rankings tank don’t touch it I know first reaction is to disavow them but wait for few days

How is the first, older one doing? Was that affected?

Adult links are the least effective.

I know it looks bad but honestly I think you're good.

The other site is still fine so I think I'm panicking too much here. The downside here is that my anchor/page percentages for my backlinks are totally messed up.

Yep.

That's the thing... those links are disregarded so anchor ratios stay the same.

Even though we knew this kind of link will be ignored google. It is not easy to accept these kind shitty links with a combination of great backlinks that we build from great websites.

Those are useless links that you shouldn't have sleepless nights over. How's your link profile? If it's good with some authority sites, then they are probay wasting their time. But if not, then you are probably in trouble.

For a total peace of mind, try diversifying your anchors by building links. If you have the budget, go with guest posts and/or niche edits. If, however, you don't, then just do the diversification with profile/comment links.

So, a revenge on dumb Google taking negative links into account, which must be ignored.

Unless he's blasting your domain with negative_word+your_keyword you shouldnt worry too much about it.

Don't nofollow links pass no anchor text?
Also, I actually wonder if it's possible to do negative SEO with n0follow links.

OP, really hope, it won't affect you but my understanding, just my personal opinion, n0follow links can't hurt you.

I disavowed those links and got 70% traffic back

I had a fight with a link seller on here, he finally refunded me. A week later I received like 100 no follow links from Indian sites.

On a new site that wasnt ranking and which had barely any links.

But Its no follow, so it shouldnt be a problem, no?

As it's new site, you may have some issues as Google could most likely take those links into consideration.
