Very low probability that this was the update. It is going to take a few more days till it is rolled out completely.

What's interesting to witness here is, Google announced the update for a specific day yet the SERP globally remains calm. If the storm arise today or tomorrow we will be able to conclude to a natural inertia in the deployment of such update.
 
instagram 3 days ago, and now google. Well, Winter is coming hahaha... Start to thinking new method.
 
In Aus. Nothing has happened here yet as far as I can tell. Give it another couple of weeks I reckon

TBH I have a fairly new site, good content and have just started link building. High-quality links. Rankings have not changed, still slightly improving. Although I think it's going to take a week or so to see on a global scale what has happened and for the SEOs to analyze the data and try and make sense of what happened.
 
Rankings starting to drop... At this point i'm pretty sure people at Google have no idea what they are doing. They're like "hey, let's tell people we are doing a major core update, but what we'll really do is shift a bunch of websites up and down the SERPs... then on the next update we'll revert some of the changes and see what happens..."
 
Well I just placed an order yesterday for sarkark21's sherlock seo package. Hope he has everything under control. Let's see who wins Sarkark vs. Google ;)
 
I think I am safe as my site is not using low quality content. Hoping for the best. Will check the ranking and traffic in 2-3 days.
 
I just read about it. didn't understand a lot though. Where can i learn about the recent update? (any resources for a newbie would be better)

I never had noticed that some of the commenters were BST sellers. They never get affected and when they do it's always good lol.

Nothing so far.



They never tweet in predictable ways. One time they let the update pass and announced it after it happened as if it were still to happen, just to catch all the SEO tools off guard. One of the most famous SEO tools BACK DATED the update change LOL. Their tool didn't detect shit. The SEO world is like that.

Maybe that update was just a placebo to see what kind of response the seo community would have haha
