Another 30 Day Challenge

I dont know why so many people are crazy addicted to CL.... is it so effective ?? i mean can easily convert into sales profits ?? i am from Non us....

Its good to have goals. Good Luck I will watch how your project goes.

You should capture to video/audio your 30 day challenge and in so doing, you'll create a really hot product. If you actually do create a nice income stream and you've caught it all on video step by step. I'll buy it.

Thanks again to all for the advice and words of encouragement. An update:

* I have a CL campaign up & running. This will surely make more than $50 / day, but it's well trodden territory for me. I wanted to get something up & running to 'get off the schniede', so to speak.

* I haven't worked on the e*Bay sniper the last couple of days. However, I have discovered a brilliant way to use a variant of it to automatically fill out offers from real users, as well as adjust my conversion rate with real clicks. all I have to do is find a way for at least some users to convert.

* I'm breaking one of my own rules (building something that I don't know how to monetize), but I am setting up a free service (more details on it after I get it running).

* I'm working on a product (CL ebook), but I haven't heard from the graphic artist I hired in a couple of days (he's reputable, although I've never used him before).

* I will probably put up a few BH CPA sites this weekend. I've wanted to do this for a while. I'll throw them up against the wall and see what sticks.

To address comments in the thread:

* Lee - I responded in a PM. Thanks for the insight.

* 7ruman - I'm not sure if it's fear of failure as much as a desire to connect and a little ego, but who knows?

* Wealth & Demon - I know for me, keeping focused on just a few projects and seeing them through, instead of starting a bunch and not following through, is the challenge. Stay focused on one or two things and the cash will roll in. And Demon - I believe the value is rarely in the idea, it's almost always in the execution.

* Demon - one more thing - what you have is definitely more than I can imagine - I'm not joking, I'm serious. That's a lot of work!

* Neta1o - You're right about there being a lot of e*Bay snipers, even free ones. The only problem is that none of them have my aff link in them :) . Not only will I market it, but I will open it up so that other marketers can market it too. I passed on many ideas I've had over the years because there was always something like it that existed. When Google came out, I asked myself why the world needed another search engine.

* Neta1o & Peter - CL has been my problem for the past year. It's like a narcotic that I haven't been able to pull away from. I want to broaded my horizons, especially since I have not been able to scale CL past about 5K / month, or completely put it on autopilot.

* Kevin - thanks for the idea. I think that it might be a problem chronicling it effectively without pulling too much time and energy from projects. LMK if you have any ideas on how I might implement that.

This weekend should be a watershed, and I'm hoping to set up two additional income streams. We'll see.

Awesome thread, I always like reading these blog type posts, they really get me motivated. The idea of setting up my own 30 day challenge is one I hadn't actually thought about, and might give it a go some time (when I stop procrastinating, lol), and I think I might follow your approach in setting up individual income streams. The difference is though, my goal is $50 per day, so I'll be splitting that up into 5 $10 per day streams. Anyway, good luck.

I have outsourced my CL posting to a member of this board. So far it is about as much work handing over the posting campaigns as it is posting them myself. It will be nice to have on income stream moving without a lot of intervention on my part.

The e*Bay sniper really needs full time attention to get off the ground in the time frame allotted, so its a little on the backburner.

My product is almost done, and the graphic artist is putting together the sales page (I still need to put together the opt in, the sales letter content, and the video).

EDC:

This is a powerful post...this really got my juices flowing.

My CL projects have also suffered due to CL's tighter restrictions and the economy.

I was wondering if you could share with us what methods do use to generate income from CL for example Clickbank, CPAs, etc.

Thank you for any advice.

Another update:

One stream is alive and humming along. In addition, I have just started a new CL campign w/outsourced posting, so that should hit paydirt over the next couple of days. Still, these two streams are variations of stuff that I know, so I'm getting lazy.

For the 'product' - My graphic artist dropped off of the map, so I don't know when my sales page is going to be done. If I don't get it in the next week or so, I'll have to find an alternate route. I was initially going to have a pre-launch on the 26th, and a full launch on the 2nd or 3rd of Jan, but I may move it up.

e*Bay sniper is on hold, since I don't think that I can get a working product released before the end of the month. It took me about two hours to build an automated bidder, but I haven't spent time on it since. I may outsource it.

I need to put together some streams that are unrelated to anything that I already do and that I can get up & running quickly. I have gotten a bit lazy, but I'm planning on gearing up this weekend for a flurry of output.

That's it for now - I have to help my son with his homework.

Yeah.. Where u at.. U should be at the 6700 mark right about now

Hope edc returns with an update soon. These type of threads always do wonders for my motivation. I'm extremely busy with my "real" life also so it's nice to see what other Dads and Husbands can accomplish in their free time.

I too would like to see an update on this. I need to get off my tail and start something like this. I have decide since I will need a tax break this year then I'm going to spend some money on my business before the end of the year so I can take it to the next level. Perhaps I need to do a challenge such as this to help motivate me.

Way to go, mate! Gonna check your thread to see how you go! I have also PMed you about the sales page.

So here we are roughly 30 in and wondering whatobstacles we are running into ... Maybe there are some ways we can help eachother achieve our goals..

I didn't realize that the thread was resurrected. I'm glad to see that there was some interest.

Since the end of the month is pretty much here, I'll spare you the suspense and tell you that I failed in my attempt (that's not as bad as it sounds - keep reading). I only have one new income stream after all this time. Where did I go wrong? Here are my thoughts:

* I'm working on building mainly WH streams that take time to set up, ignoring BH streams that I could probably set up in a couple of hours. I may still do that.
* I continued to suck at the CL teat (easy money).

So what good came out of this?

* I have a few projects near fruition that are WH and should generate some decent long term (relatively speaking) cash (the eBay sniper and the Craigslist product).
* I have built up a team of people that I can trust for certain things (programming, web design, CL accounts, etc). We all know how hard it can be to find people that you can rely on to outsource stuff.
* I still have a lot of ideas (WH and BH) to work on, and I'm still going to get to five different streams of income, all at $50/day or better.

If you have any questions, post them in the thread and I'll be happy to answer them.

Thanks for the update! I personally hope to hear more of your (and others) success, as it is a real motivator.
