@satyr85 - you're missing the point. It's never been allowed for yellow members to sell their services in the freelancer section. It's always supposed to have been for people with sales threads to promote it there.
When we moved over, it got abused by hundreds of people with brand new accounts and zero interest in the forum or it's community.
Every single thread would attract loads of replies and PM's with "I can do this, Skype me".
It became a huge mess, people were breaking the rules and other people were getting ripped off.
Selling outside the marketplace is against the rules for exactly this reason. We put some measure of protection in for our members with the mod reviews and making sellers invest money into starting a service here. Doing this means they have a stake in their account and reputation.
When people can get banned for scamming, then re-register and start selling again immediately, there's no incentive for them to provide a good service.
The Premium and Jr VIP members have paid money to be able to advertise in their signatures or go through a rigorous review to open a marketplace thread. Its not fair to ask them to invest this time and money into proving themselves if any member can just spam the HAF forum to poach their business.
