Technically it's working, but from UX - quotes blend together with replies and they are hard to read. And text contrast, it's making my eyes tired quickly and sea-sick feeling.Multi-quote appears to be working and the text, colors were always the same. But appreciate the feedback, we can take another look here.
I think there is big difference between changes and making usability and design for worse. If your car had 4 wheels and you removed 1 because some accessibility AI said so, it will still drive, but it will be quite uncomfortable.Again lines were always there, lets see if they are still an issue in a week or so. Change is hard for everyone.
That would be nice, thank you.Avatar sizes - that is an interesting one and something we could revisit.
It's hard to point out specifics, things feels "off", unproportional/disproportionate. For example avatar size against username. Now I need to read username to check which user replied, before that I could recognize users by avatars only. same as quote/reply size, they are simply blending together. And those golden lines everywhere. Check one-line replies, if user has banner now they get lines before and after the text.Element proportions - subjective, what about the proportions is causing you concern?
So how forcing me to do more clicks is good UX? Before I could do this instantly. Yes, I do judge user, it's enough for me to confirm that if someone has 1000 posts but 100 reaction - I can safely ignore their content and skip it because I read a lot here, like really really a lot and every day, and it did help me to read more efficient. Now this functionality and usability is taken from me.Reaction scores are still there - you're judging the user not their posts so hover over or visit the users profile to judge them properly.
It's the opposite of improvement, some admin/moderator profiles are too red and jr vips are too blue, it's simply too muchSame about of blue? How is this "fuckery? an not just design improvement?
It is the contrasts in texts that are the real problem, myself I use this new design with 150% upscale in chrome at this moment since contrasts suck.If you consider accessibility, why don't you add an option to change font size by placing +/- ABC buttons somewhere at the top.
Same way , page up and down should be present on top of each page on forum. Easy to move to different page without the need to scroll at bottom first. If you consider accessibility, why don't you add an option to change font size by placing +/- ABC buttons somewhere at the top.
This explains really well how I used the reaction score and why I (and others it appears) would like it back on individual posts.Yes, I do judge user, it's enough for me to confirm that if someone has 1000 posts but 100 reaction - I can safely ignore their content and skip it because I read a lot here, like really really a lot and every day, and it did help me to read more efficient.
OMFG.It is the contrasts in texts that are the real problem, myself I use this new design with 150% upscale in chrome at this moment since contrasts suck.
I think it was kind of an appreciation and, more or less, a trust indicator for people like you who clearly provided value with their postings, uploads, etc.I prefer to have the reaction score back to the profile as it was a trust indicator more multiple people here.
OMFG.
I had 125% all the time as default for me. I changed to the default of 100%.
it's so much worse now, so this how regular people are seeing this, I need to put my face in screen now to be able to read haha.
crazy.
I used to have 125% too, felt the need to up it now though.I had 125% all the time as default for me.
Who gave the accessibility score, I will make a rude guess here - a robot or AI?
Previous one was better.
This somehow looks ... idk....weird!
Also it feels that the text area is more right aligned with lots of negative space on the left
I call for BACK TO OLD ONE !
I think the blues and reds are striking and too bright. It might take some time for my eyes to get used to it.
What i read from here is that most of the members are complaining about the "text size" and "reaction score" And "avatar size".
If you guys just look at these issues then it might solve the problem for most of us.
This ^
There are two differnet colors # for Jr VIP
You have #0033cc for the top and #0008e3 for the bottom
View attachment 342774
And the bottom is too bright, the 0033cc looks alot cleaner and nicer.
Then we have random non-round edges & sharp edges too..
Surely that shouldn't be the case.
It never confused me personally since it was in the particular users box under its name and the messages number. since the first time I saw it I thought it represented that user's all time reaction score count, not the reaction score count for that particular thread or post (which is clearly indicated by the number of likes/hahas under the post in question. I don't see how the messages are not misleading if the reaction score is.
it just seems so inconvenient having to hover over every person's username to view their reaction score, especially in a long thread such as this one. as someone already mentioned, a lot of us use it to quickly assess the users reputation. with the way it is now, it makes it much harder to do so.
You know that website's designs is the first thing visitors notice. It won't change what you feel about a design after weeks. This thread feels like some extreme local bazaar drama
I wouldn't change anything and look at it after a week.
I'll give feedback in a week.
Cheers.
All those rich people on BHW.... Im on my 16" Notebook.Imagine reading BHW on a 49" monitor, like I do, at 100% size.
