Hi Everyone,
I signed up here because I was told this was a good question to ask this sort of question. I have a small android app with around 3,000 daily active users. I would like to monetize the users with bandwidth sharing apps and wanted to ask here if anyone could recommend an sdk or share their experience.
Honestly, stay away from bandwidth-sharing SDKs. It's a fast track to getting your Play Console permanently banned because Google absolutely hates hidden proxy traffic, and the payouts are usually total peanuts anyway for the amount of user churn you get.
I wasted months trying weird alternative monetization tricks and single ad networks, barely making enough to cover coffee and my server costs. The real turning point for me was dropping the sketchy stuff and setting up proper mobile ad mediation through CAS.ai.
The difference was night and day. My eCPMs instantly shot up by 70% to 90% because the platform forces 20+ top networks (AdMob, AppLovin, Mintegral, etc.) to bid against each other in real-time auctions for every single impression. Within the first month, my overall revenue multiplied by over 2.5x just because it completely eliminated unfilled ad slots.
The best part is the whole backend runs on complete autopilot, so I don't have to waste hours manually tweaking waterfalls or stressing over compliance. I went from grinding side apps for pocket change to making a consistent monthly income that literally lets me live off my app portfolio full-time now.
If you already have the Android traffic, don’t risk your developer account's health for pennies with bandwidth sharing. Put a solid mediation layer on it, let the big networks fight for your impressions, and scale your business safely.
