And Now Facebook Is Going Downhill...

Lets look at where things stand:

Facebook is still the big juggernaught of the bunch.

Myspace, even though going downward, is still the #2 big boy.

Twitter moving up, still doesn't hold a candle to either of these two.

The rest.. barely even make a blip in comparison.

Until there is an effective way to allow people to have a distributed method of interaction, rather than giving ownership over to punks like these, you are going to continue to see this.

I have seen some pretty interesting ideas on this, but it is going to depend largely on the ability of these projects to market, doesn't matter if they have a superior product or not. Macrosoft proved that to the world 20 years ago.

Anybody noticed that Yahoo! and MSN are slowly stepping into this arena with their Messengers too? There is more and more social integration with them now, but it's interesting to see how they haven't really taken hold with many.

It actually would be interesting to see how the new facebook movie will effect facebook itself.

The movie is about the guy making facebook to get girls, etc.

So could it hurt facebook in the end? It's a possibility.
Yeah, he screwed up. He could have had over a billion users by now if he had called it Assbook. And the movie would have helped him.

Likely the govt. will take it over when they get through with banks, cars and medical. Then instead of a friend button you get an enemy button.

The people with the most enemies will be paying blackhatters and mafia guys to remove their enemies. :)
