And Now Another Newbie!

Hello to all who read the introduction posts!

I'm new to SEO, etc, and found this great website via the google. I'm looking to change careers and hoping the members here will be kind enough to help. I'm also a 'pay-it-forward' person so I hope to be here for a long time and share what I learn.

Some background info: I have advanced degrees in mathematics and originally planned on starting a data mining company catering to small businesses. In the process of talking it over with some people, someone asked if I did "internet optimization". After talking with them I found out they meant SEO. I looked into it and, since I have a coding background, into web design.

I can build decent websites, but the SEO stuff was (is?) pretty new to me. I plan to post in some of the other forums with my ideas, prices, etc and I look forward to hearing back from you guys.

discipline "mathematics & informatics (computer science)".. it was hell damn of a study.. 26 different mathematics and informatics alike..

i ended up being master of mathematics, master of informatics, plus i can be a teacher for both of those. So i really hit the jackpot with the discipline, because it is 3 in 1
