Anchor Text - Are You Doing it Right?

Yes that is true if you use naked urls or brand anchors it would still be counte as an Anchor text bec you have a EMD site. I don't buy EMD's anymore but i suggest this to anyone who does. Let's say again you have a site for "lcdtvreviews.com" . What i would suggest you is this. Put the Title and H1 Tag a Brand like this. "Thisismylife's Lcd Tv Reviews" And use Brand as "Thisismylife" or "Thisismylife2 Reviews". That works too. I have done for couple of clients and it worked well.
Thanks a lot for Clarification

Will try to implement this soon but
how google will know the keyword that I try to rank for?

Thanks for sharing. It's an important and overly confusing subject if you go into it. Anchor text also plays a significant role in ranking.

would be better to use the list you sent or related keywords ?

I mean, sometimes I use keywordtool.io and there is a tab names "related". Is it good to use them or its even better to use list like you shared?

It would be better to use both. LSI = related KWs and I mention that as well.

Lots of good sharing from others in this thread which is super cool to see.

Is there a maximum percentage when building exact match anchors, that you avoid going over?

Right now I'm at about 17%-18% for exact and the rest are LSI, with about 5% mixed generic, naked, and no text. I really don't focus on the percentages when building, just happened to check ahrefs just now. With every campaign I throw a few generic and nakeds in there, but don't really formulate anything or have any guidelines when doing it. Say i build 10 links. 2 will be exact, 6 will be LSI, and 2 will be generic or naked. Sometimes I might do 1 exact and more LSI. It's pretty random. And when my ratios were lower, in the beginning i was building a lot more exact match anchors to get a boost.

Great Post. I have saved this thread for future reference as I always mess up with anchor texts.

for rank site in very short time anchor text method is best

And what about article content, how much times do you guys use the main kw & the LSI ones ? (For around 1500-2000 words)

If you use the Yoast Plugin ( i saw a free copy of the Pro version on this forum) when constructing an article the plugin will tell you if you have the right anchor text ratios.

This is definitely valuable to all those people over optimizing and you see it on a daily bases. Google says wrote for people not bots. When I first started years ago I was guilty of this. But googles getting smarter so time for people to realize this

i create 2 profiles with text (more than 500 words) with url naked to a post and it drops from page 2 position 1 to page 2 position 8

https://domain.com/article/ << this exact anchor text

Any ideas?

also this 2 profiles are from a website ranking on top3

First of all profiles on which sites? Profiles on unrelated forums or profiles on high DA web 2.0's? Don't worry though when you build links your rankings mostly pushed back for a couple of days/weeks then come back stronger.

i publish the link's on May 6, 2019 and i create one article with related text handmade 2 are free blogs and 3 are profiles/community

When making these changes on site: how do people do it when there really much space on your site for articles or words.

If a someone provides let’s say “web design” services. They’ll have a page describing the service and summary etc. is it just a matter or fitting in LSIs in there without making it too obvious.

Same with e commerce sites. How does one throw in LSI and anchors when majority of their website is products for sale.
