Anchor Link?

Hello there I was wondering how does anchor link impact SEO?

In my experienced most website uses the a tag to link to other unique pages, but what if the site uses anchor links to do it? I noticed for some site instead of directing the user directly towards the unique page it direct the users to the anchor link URL? Is this considered duplicate content?

I noticed this on certain vehicle websites mostly. Such as Lincoln & Toyota.

exactly that will NOT be the case of my next project and I will focus on using excat anchors - that will be fun. I hope.

I think every little things on a link would definitely contribute to a bigger picture at the end of the day. Even follow and nofollow links get counted, and must have a balance. So there should be a right mixture of anchor text on links, domain name as link, etc. I actually place higher importance on domain name as link, as it looks like it can help bump the authority a little higher though.
