Guru's best advice is that anchor text should be on the backlink, and to avoid "click here" "link" "Source" and from my experience I've seen most of the links on the blogs and internet portals in 70% of links you have these anchor text, and all of these are organic (natural backlinks). Does it make any sense that if the backlink is "click here" is bad for SEO? Because IMHO if I were to write a blog and mention an article i'd rather write "this guy" "this article" rather than "how to pile an apple".
