Anchor Diversity ? Needed ?

hi all i am new here. great to be here.

seems that many seo experts here, so i have new competitor and he got ranking 1 in google in this week. i checked he played with many blog post high pr (guest post and private blog network) but he just build his site with no anchor diversity... lets say the keyword "payday loans" so for anchor only : "payday" , "loans" , "payday loans"...

this will be for long term getting top position for my competitor ?

Use of anchors that matches your websites content will be good for rankings IMO also you can use your website url as anchors to gain some popularity.

yes i know about it, i bet you dont read my post completely...

it's not what i meant

he might have used more generic keywords else have the keyword in meta tags.
