    Hi guys,

I made a nice survey, results of which may be quite interesting for SEO-experts. When the survey is finished, the participants will receive the results. Here's the link to the survey. I would be very grateful for your input. Really. Participate :)

Unfortunately I'm not able to post active links, so here's one:

    Code:
    goo.gl/forms/9aqaanhvEF

Here are some samples of the info I'll send to each participant (Neither can I post images in a normal way, so):

    Code:
    i.imgur.com/quHs7Jd.png
    i.imgur.com/urGG9Ox.png
    i.imgur.com/MOlm4ZV.png
    i.imgur.com/XC6bgiV.png
    i.imgur.com/TRSf40S.png

A little more information about the survey:

    1. This survey is anonymous
    2. You can leave an e-mail address if you want to get the results of the survey in a few months
    3. Your mails will never be used by me for any spam-like "e-mail marketing". I don't disrespect you :)
    4. Feedback is very appreciated
    5. This survey is for everybody who consider themselves SEO-specialists
    6. This post is gonna be posted on major SEO-forums
    7. Feel free to share the link to the survey. Sharing's good :)

    You can comment:

    1. Here (in this topic)
    2. In the survey
    3. My e-mail is cthulchu[a]gmail.com
    4. My Skype is cthulchu_

    Thanks!

    PS

You have here really strict anti-spa rules.
    Good for moderators :)

Are you planning on launching an WSO or what?

Thanks. I'm glad you like it.

I'm not planning on launching anything. I just want to compare my thoughts with the thoughts of my colleagues. It is interesting. Well, at least for me :)

There's no hidden sense. No tricks. Just what I said. I don't even plan to publish the data. Sending the results to the participants is ample.

Actually, I performed a similar research for Russian SEO experts and I used their recommendations to perfect this one. I just want to compare trends. Again, just for me. Without publishing.

And this analysis wouldn't be very interesting for you anyways.

Do you do have websites that you do SEO yourself on, or you just collect data from surveys as a past time?

10 minutes to create initial questions
    10 minutes to create answers
10 minutes to review, rephrase, etc.
20 minutes to put everything in google forms
10 minutes to test and fix errors
    30 minutes to design it
30 minutes to apply my friends' and other SEO-experts' suggestions

Two hours, I think. I guess it took so long because I didn't know all features and how things work. It would take much less if I had experience.

I'm an SEO expert. I have clients I promote. Usually they are international e-commerce shops. I've been working as an SEO expert since 2009. Well, I didn't do any white SEO in 2009-2010 :)
    Why?

So if you're planning it, how long after you send the results of the survey to the participants are you going to post the results of the survey on any SEO-forums?

I got it. A new user comes to a forum and posts links. Suspicious, isn't it?
If the user is new, he a-priori can't be a cool specialist cuz he doesn't have experience of being here. Right. Makes some sense.

That's why I get all these funny questions and accusations. Hell. This is so normal for forums. I guess I could do the same on the forums I consider "mine".
Well, thank you for at least being wise enough to not delete the topic and ban me.

I love forums. It's just I mostly participate on Russian boards cuz they're kinda a little more into technologies and computer science.
I think the reason of that is that Russian black-hat SEOs often work directly with hackers, which makes sense for their living (it's rly hard to be punished for hacking in Russia).

I'm not gonna post the results anywhere. Only this topic (NOT "IN this topic"). In fact, I already did post it (the topic, not the results). Even got banned on WF for "self-promotion". I guess, they thought I'm gonna use the data to promote myself. Funny. Some moderators may be very arrogant towards newcomers.

    PS

No, hell, I don't give a heck about "promotion" of me on any seo-forum cuz my target audience doesn't appear here.
Yes, It's interesting to be here, to be a part of a great community and stuff, but I wouldn't say my English is good enough to avoid certain tension.
I do respect folks on forums and expect same stuff from them.

I'm not sure why you told me to relax unless you misconstrued the intent of my first post, but thanks for answering my question.

Good luck with your survey.

No problem, although if you don't mind, I'd like to clear up a few things about your re-written post. :)

Some of the senior members are suspicious of new members due to the occasional spammers and scammers who join the forum to take advantage of the community. It's not that anyone is under the notion that someone new to BHW is new to SEO, it's just due to the reason I previously mentioned, although don't take it personally, it's just the other members looking out for each other.

I'm not sure who the last sentence was directed at as no mods posted in this thread. Anyway, here's a list of BHW membership levels that may help you differentiate between moderators and non-moderators here (originally posted by GreyWolf).

    • Super Administrator = appointed by site owner
    • Administrator = by site owner approval
    • Super Moderator = by admin approval
    • Moderator = by admin approval
    • Moderator in Training = Submit Staff Application [1] and have admin approval
    • Executive VIP = by invitation only (given only after vote from Exec VIP's) and have admin approval
    • Jr. Executive Vip = must post a thread that gets moved to Jr. Exec VIP forum and have admin approval
    • Jr. VIP = 100+ quality posts [2], 60 days on the forum and $97 donation [3]
    • Premium Member = $97 donation [3]
    • Junior Member = 100+ posts
    • Regular Member = 50-99 posts
    • Newbie = 0-49 posts
Your English is fine. This forum has members from many different parts of the world and some of those members have English much worse than yours, so don't worry about it too much. :)

    • Thanks Thanks x 1
