The current BTC ecosystem inscriptions are continuously booming, having already broken out of their niche and spurred a wave of interest in inscriptions on other chains as well as the development of the entire BTC ecosystem. Many people are now pondering what the next potential trend will be after inscriptions. Undoubtedly, with the prosperity and development of the BTC ecosystem, BTC layer2 projects are set to be the next major trend. Below, we will take a look at some of the BTC layer2 projects that are worth the participation and early positioning for retail investors, including interactive tutorials and methods to potentially benefit from airdrops.
I. MAP Protocol
Founded in 2019, the MAP (https://twitter.com/MapProtocol) protocol is a Bitcoin Layer-2 for peer-to-peer cross-chain interoperability. The MAP protocol allows assets and users from other public chains to seamlessly interact with the Bitcoin network by leveraging Bitcoin's security mechanisms. Having received a strategic investment from Waterdrip Capital, the Map chain allows users to cross assets from the BTC chain to the Map chain via the BRC20roup cross-chain bridge, as well as cross assets from the EVM chain to the MAP chain via butter swap. At present, tokens have been issued, $MAP and $MAPO are both native to the MAP protocol, except that one is on the ETH, BSC chain, and the other is on the MAP Relay Chain. $MAP can be purchased on various exchanges or uniswap, and then exchanged for $MAPO on ButterSwap. At present, the only way for users to obtain their project token is to purchase and participate in the project after purchase. Currently, the only way for users to get their project token is to purchase and pledge $MAPO to participating nodes after purchase.
II. Stacks
Stacks is a Bitcoin Layer 2 solution that enables the use of smart contracts. It has its own blockchain, compiler, and programming language, and it uses its native token $STX as gas for the chain. Stacks is one of the earliest and most mature Layer 2 solutions, boasting a rich ecosystem with various DeFi protocols such as Alex, Velar Protocol, and Arkadiko Protocol as part of its ecosystem. In the fourth quarter of this year, Stacks will undergo the Nakamoto upgrade, which will increase the block production speed to 10-15 seconds, further enhancing the user experience within the Bitcoin ecosystem. As an old project from 2013, its token STX has already been released, and users can currently purchase it on various centralized exchanges. However, there is still an opportunity to interact with projects in its ecosystem that have not yet issued tokens, potentially securing future airdrop opportunities.

III. BEVM
BEVM is the first fully decentralized EVM-compatible Bitcoin L2, supporting wallets like Metamask. Applications from the EVM ecosystem, including DeFi and GameFi, can seamlessly migrate to Bitcoin Layer 2. In the future, BEVM will also be compatible with more non-EVM Layer 1 networks, thus extending BTC and BTC chain assets to any chain and maximally expanding the Bitcoin ecosystem. Additionally, BEVM uses BTC as GAS, meaning all applications on Layer 2 will utilize BTC for Gas.
Currently, this project has not issued any tokens. It has launched the first Odyssey program in the BTC ecosystem, where users who transparently complete tasks will earn points, which are related to future rewards. The Odyssey consists of nine tasks, details of which can be found at: https://medium.com/@BTClayer2/btc-layer-2-first-odyssey-campaign-starts-98db930dab0c.
IV. B² Network
@BSquaredNetwork is a Bitcoin second-layer network compatible with EVM, developed based on zk-rollup. It is about to launch its Alpha testnet, MYSTICA, and is expected to go live on the mainnet soon. Currently, the project has not issued any tokens, but it has already received investment from top-tier institutions, including OK. Recently, the project launched an Odyssey program, where completing tasks can earn points/U. The official statement clarifies that these points are a permanent mark of contribution and pave the way for future rewards.
Due to the need to install the official wallet and the complexity of the steps, many people have not yet interacted with it, and are waiting for a potential airdrop.

Tasks are more basic cross-chain, swap, group pools and other tasks, want to go on more than one number of batch jerk users can consider using the fingerprint browser synchronizer function to go to more open windows for interaction, so you can greatly save time. We recommend a fingerprint browser that has been pushed recently: Morelogin, which has been audited by Slow Fog and is more secure.

V. Dovi_L2
The Dovi Layer2 solution is an EVM-compatible smart contract platform designed to enhance scalability, reduce costs and foster a more secure and decentralized financial ecosystem. The project has received strategic investment from KuCoin Labs and has entered into a partnership. Currently, the project only has a website and does not have any product or whitepaper information, but it has already released its tokens on BRC20, and its tokens have been launched on kucoin, with a market capitalization of $20 million at the moment. Ordinary users can buy tokens from OKX wallet's ordinals marketplace or kucoin.
