I last used this forum back in January of this year. I've been busy with my business since then (All digital marketing - bricks and mortar clients and all that jazz - more on that in another post another time)

Between then and now my account was hacked, used to do something to do with escrow on dodgy currencies - and banned.

That is in part my error. Bad password management (same passwords used for many things - not something I do any more) and no 2 step verification.

The guys and girls at BHW were very thorough before letting me back into the forum. It's taken almost a week, of emails and proofs that

a) I am who I say I am and
b) I'm not the scammer

I appreciate how thorough they've been. My bad, and they had to take time and effort to investigate my circumstances., Thanks BHW - top job as usual.

If whoever used by profile for the few days in the Spring before it was banned scammed anyone here - I am really sorry. The threads I saw posted had no commercial replies and my inbox seems pretty sane so I'm hoping the damage was very limited if anything happened at all.

Thanks for taking the time to read this. I'll be posting "proper" stuff soon.

I can understand what you had to go through, i am sure you won't take security of your accounts lightly next time.
I appreciate BHW team's effort as they could have simply avoided your case as it was a mistake on your part but what they did is applaudable.
 
my first account was messed with 2007 when i moved house
when i came back - there was a mess, anyone who knows me knows
how i type and how i come off, thankfully the account was scrapped/tainted
and i started again 2008. touch wood nothing since.
 
I too lost a bunch of credentials in recent days and now I'm using Lastpass to generate and store super-strong passwords.

Back when all that stuff was happening, @Scritty, I was pretty sure it was not you knowing you for all this time and the sorts of things you share here on BHW.

Good to see that the office staff at BHW got you set back up again.

DD's post count is ridiculously inflated artificially. I'm curious how many posts he ACTUALLY has. As well as how many posts have been made by Damien after transfer of account ownership happened from Dave.
 
really sherby when it all comes down to it, people post as little or as often as they want.
some popin post twice gone til tomorrow , some like me who is stuck at home through
mobility issues and enjoy bhw spend alot of time on it, post count is a number and
the only reason i ever say anything is because people constantly draw my name into it

but they forget there are 4/5 users who have been here half my time and almost
the same amount as me but its me thats always singled out, not the 4-5 users with
11-16k posts in under 5 yrs, just my 17k in 9 years , they always over look that.

as for DD ide rather not get involved talking about owner of bhw.
