Amsterdam shooting. So what's going on ?

I am going tomorrow in holidays with my gf, to Amsterdam. I just woked up today, and wanted to check what's the weather like in Amsterdam, and used the News & Weather app from android. Typed Amsterdam and I was surprised to see a good weather but also 4 crime/shooting news for Amsterdam, and I was like wtf ??

This is my second trip to Amstredam, the first one being around 5 months ago, and it was awesome! I haven't seen anything suspecious nor related to crime (I am not a detective, but just saying), so everything was OK, even better than I thought.

If somebody lives in Amsterdam, please comment, and let's see what's really going on.
Is it safe to travel there ?

Dont worry is nothing. Some muslim radicals killed some people. But if u get kidnapped by ISIS, in the beheading video please give a shot out to BHW.

Amsterdam is one of the most dangerous cities in Europe, and has the highest murder rate in Western Europe, there's going to be shootings there every once in a while.

Perhaps living in the US has me jaded but I don't see the big deal over 4 shootings in a big city like Amsterdam. Isn't that to be expected?

I'm from the Netherlands and I know you will definitely be safe in Amsterdam. The people who are murdered and will be murdered are people in the underground drug business. As long as you avoid these people and don't show up in the 'Bijlmer' you'll be fine.
