So as AMP is kicking , traffic to AMP pages is growing rapidly I noticed that the BR is much higher for AMP pages, do you experience the same?

Yeah, I posted about it last week.
I used AMP on my business blog for a while, but it stopped working a couple of weeks ago (I don't really care to fix it).

Interestingly enough, when I used it, all of my posts saw a 10-20% increased bounce rate, and a lower time on page; the opposite of what everyone said would happen.

I should note that AMP is not a ranking factor, so your rankings shouldn't fluctuate at all. Mine certainly didn't.

No, that wasn't it, my AMP pages were customised.

If you're using the AMP Wordpress plugin, you can customise the look of your pages using the Custom (AMP) Accelerated Mobile Pages plugin.
Before you ask, I'm not sure why the bounce rate on my AMP pages was higher. I haven't looked into it yet.

Thanks, also many other limitations on AMP makes less monetized, but better then nothing I guess.

Out of curiosity, were your AMP pages customised? Also, what was the bounce rate like on your normal mobile pages when compared to your AMP articles?

not customized enough, some ads , js is blocked so page is quite basic with logo and blog meta details.
BR 70% instead of 15%

well, before CPM you need to be sure that ads are running, there are alot of code restrictions for AMP so no all ads show.
native ads should. but not from shortcode.

Whoa, your bounce rate went up way more than my bounce rate did!

This is just a theory, but I wonder if the majority of web users simply don't like AMP. Though I can't think of a reason why at the moment.

I also wonder how many of those AMP promoters actually tested that bounce rate claim instead of spewing whatever Google said. After all, Google says "Jump", everyone says "How High?"

Anyway, I found this article about adjusted bounce rate for AMP URLs. Perhaps I'll fix the AMP on my site and look into ABR.

i posted the same thing weeks ago... most probably your AMP styling is not customized enough to get good user experience. But anyway, they said AMP pages was only best for news type of articles so I removed it anyways.

Yeah, my posts that i quoted were from your thread.

My pages were styled and still saw a bounce rate increase, but I do wonder if styling would bring OP's bounce rate down.

Who said AMP was better for news pages?
May i ask what AMP pages are?
Accelerated Mobile Pages.

Same problem here, Bounce rate of non-amp mobile site is 54% and bounce rate AMP Version is 70%. I alsmost designed my AMP version to look same as non AMP mobile version, still the bounce rate is high. I think the users think that the AMP version is a spam due to the white header on the top and the close icon on the top-left corner which makes my site different from others. I'm just guessing, not sure about it!

Sorry for my English! :)
