I've created a fairly new website. And since it is new, I figured I'd implement AMP while the number of articles is not that many yet. And in doing so, I'd also have a streamlined workflow. Basically creating amp versions of new posts that I will be creating.
The problem I see is with affiliate links.
Just a little background, I am using "Thirty Affiliates" plugin so I can manage the affiliate links a lot easier. What I like specifically is the geolocation feature which basically redirects visitors to the appropriate Amazon version in their country.
But since it is using custom Javascript, it doesn't work for AMP pages. My question is, how do you guys go about implementing adding affiliate links to your AMP pages? So far, I get about 30% of the traffic from India which will benefit the geolocation feature.
I figured I can still use affiliate links from the main country traffic through just plain old HTML links. But, maybe there's a workaround for this? (Although I doubt it?)
Should I use the AMP pages only for information/news posts? Or maybe skip it entirely?

I'd love to get your input if you have any experience in this. How do you guys implement AMP to your websites (if you do at all)? Maybe point me to the best practices?

What is web packaging by the way? From what I understand, it could potentially obsolete AMP if it actually gets implemented effectively.
