Hello...

I am a full time mom and I work night shifts. I really want to generate a passive income so I don't have to keep depending on my employment.

I have done drop-shipping (aliexpress) and affiliate marketing through Linkshare. These 2 websites generated income, but since I am working full time and taking care of my child during the day, I only have limited time to take care of my websites.

This is very frustrating as I really want to set a foundation for my future online business..

I was thinking, setting up an amazon store is cheaper as I only need to pay $2/month for hosting. I already bought a TLD domain on namecheap and started posting products on my woocommerce.

My strategy would be to post up to 50 products, while writing 50,000 words on product reviews, and articles related to my niche. I will focus on doing this until I reach the goal of 50 products and 50,000 words, hoping that traffic will stream in naturally through the on-page keywords.

For the off-page SEO, I will start commenting on blogs after completing the above goals. I am also building a twitter account (I am at 9,000+ followers now) related to my niche... Another strategy that worked for me before is Pinterest so I will market in there for this niche.

Please, gurus, give me some advice about this. Let me know if this strategy will probably work. For the last 2 websites I handled, I gave up immediately when I didn't see money coming in on the first month. The income came in randomly after a few months.

But now I accept the fact that building a profitable website takes months, if not years, and I am willing to work really hard on this one. Please let me know your thoughts...

I am no guru but it seems like this approach is going to be very tough and no income for the first few months (maybe even the first year). Firstly the domain is brand new, Google does not seem to index new domain fast or rank any new domain on the first page easily. Try typing in Google search and you can see that all the domains shown are aged with authority.

With your level of content contribution, do you think it will be easier to get traffic from youtube instead? Or other social platform such as IG?

Why don't you try Dropshopping from Amazon to eBay? You will have to pay fees to eBay but they will take care of traffic and you should get sales in your first month, especially if you put in the effort on writing your own descriptions and titles, because most Dropshoppers on eBay don't do it.

Thanks.. IG is a bit harder for me as I see most guys here who are successful on IG marketing use bots?

It's still possible to make it, but it required time, seo is very time consuming right now. Consider to buy some expired domain related to your niche. You can drop price if you gonna write your content, so the biggest for you is seo, and help with this. Good Luck :)

Thanks! I am looking at expired domains now ☺

I'm very interested in the same type of websites.

Is it possible to create online store type of website and to put Amazon products in there?
