Hey man, how do you compell or attract your visitors into clicking outbound links (amazon for example)?

I write a post, and include link to amazon 3-4 times but now I'm not sure if plugin for tracking outbound link clicks isn't working, or my visitors aren't clicking on these links, because in last 7 days I have received 23 visits from Google but like no one clicked on Amazon affiliate link and like 3 users clicked on other outbound links I included to (forums, resources etc)?

Thanks.

Well - the answer is this -- what keywords are your visitors coming to the site on -- are they terms where they are learning about the product before buying it ??

My sites are highly optimized for that sort of traffic -- learn about product - click a link to see more/find out more/see lowest price -- then they buy - or they buy something else.

Me feeling is your traffic is not funneled enough to be buyers in 24 hours..... this is something you gotta learn to be successful in the long term.

Hm do you can show me an example of it?

I usually link to amazon in first sentence. For anchor text I use product name. For example "That product the Samsung 4343GF is very good because etc.."

And so few times through text.

Incoming terms are supposed to be fine, many of these are:

Product xy review
product xy reviews
product xxxyyy
product x vs product y

etc.

well that's my secret sauce - how I funnel my traffic to be buyers - or more than likely to be buyers of something

so I can't say how I do that - you will have to trial/error.

A quick post in this thread to thank you and wish you a merry Christmas Danny. I have found this thread to be one of the most informative and helpful threads on here regarding Amazon.

You have selflessly provided your time and expertise to those of us who are less informed. You have done this whilst expecting nothing in return, even when offered opportunities from which you could have made money.

It's guys like you who stand out from the crowd and make this forum what it is. I'll drink a pint tonight for your continuing success.

Yep, merry Christmas all, hope u don't do too much IM over the holidays, we all deserve some fun now and then!! Will be back in 2013!! Thanks for this great thread Danny!

What's cookie stuffing? Is it when you stuff users' browsers through javascripts or something.. can you be banned from amazon for cookie stuffing if you put too many links from autoblogs? I'm testing autoblogs so that's why Im asking

This morning after looking at people's sites for them - again some are done well but many fall into the same category
and that category = fail.

You cannot build a standard wordpress blog with the standard theme - load some products and scraped content and a
buy now at Amazon link - and make $100 a month from the site -- it's just not going to happen.

Readers or WebSearches are looking for answers to their questions first then they will click something and make a purchase
if you try to force everyone to click a BUY BUTTON or have a site full of BUY BUTTONS people will just leave and go somewhere
else.

Please get a premium theme and organize your site and content better (read the thread I guess).

Lastly if your a non english speaker and your trying to sell to USA Visitors - please just buy content from native
english speaking writers. I looked at one site that was full of grammer mistakes and spelling mistakes and personally
if I was trying to read it - I would go to the next site. If your selling in your local Amazon country then no problem
use whatever the local dialect is.

All these issues are correctable - but also the reason why many try and fail ... don't be that person.

How do you do the research what question do you have to answer. I realise it is a niche specific thing, but in general what do you do?

What i usually do is research niche and make a map of the most common problems/questions. I usually use keyword question tool https://freekeywords.wordtracker.com/keyword-questions, and also I do the same thing with Google keyword tool.

I use {Why|How|Who|What|Where ..etc} + keyword, and then i check the most common problems people have, by looking and these search terms.

Would you add something to it?
Off course, adding features of the product and benefits/advantages of these features to reader is mandatory.

Cookie Stuffing = Ban .. I know what the attraction is to do this but its not a long term business strategy.

What terms to use - well I don't waste my time researching $20 products - $300 $400 $500 then I'm figuring out exactly what people want to know / studying the competition and these types of products tend to lead to buyers researching more before they buy anyway ... so therein lies the answer to your question.... those products have something that makes them valuable - so it's easier than you may think.

Just as a general comment to Amazon - the easy parts to this once you know how to do it are : Theme/Graphics/Content/Organization/Seo -- its the secret sauce of words/funneling traffic that takes a while to figure out ... so thats why not everyone who tries this will succeed.

I've been researching VPS's to run tools on and to this day I have always recommended Hostamus from BHW BST Thread - but I think most people would be better off with Berman Hosting - slightly cheaper - more value in what you get .. that's where I would be getting my next VPS from.

Good Hunting today.

If your on the fence about an Seo Tool - then definately check out Ultimate Demon - they added more platforms and now can do Doc Share Uploads as well which is good - you still need DMR - which does the main Doc Share Sites - but UD for the price can't be beaten imo ... although you may also want to take the free trials of SeNuke and Magic Submitter so you can see what they can do. I tried Article Kevo demo as well but it comes with 2400 sites in it - and very few article sites - alot of bookmark/forums that type of thing ... its like $80 -- better save your money and get something more powerful and something that's got better service/updates.

please don't post this garbage in my thread ... "For your VPS you can purchase BHSVPS with Pre installed Tools too"

don't bother with hacked/unlicensed software - get you nowhere.

Plugins: Does anyone use plugins similar to SEO SearchTerms Tagging 2. It optimizes post page tags, but it is essentially keyword stuffing. If configured properly (used lightly) there can be some added SERP benefit but I have heard of a lot of sites that have been sandboxed for abusing the plugin.

This thread is awesome, lots of good practices used here. Good luck with your progress!

Congrats on your success! It's great for those of us building up our business to hear that some good solid work does lead to success.
Thanks for taking the time to post your success.
Have a great evening!
Sbraill :D

Are these expensive items you're selling? Amazon has crappy commission rates so just curious.

I use the search term plugin - but I'm pretty sure its set at a maximum of 2 and don't display on main page.

I target expensive items more than cheap items - but what happens is alot of people buy accessories

you do need a mix of both I suppose (in what most people should have 10-20 sites) - as you gotta get past the 4% 6% and 6.5% levels to make it worth while.... but I spend little time on products less than $50 - if they sell they sell sort of thing.

Also I don't know whether its crappy - your getting 7% + commission from Amazon.com the largest online retailer - with excellent return policy and consumer confidence - they also spend alot in development etc -- so I actually think you can make a pretty decent income (steady) compared to other programs.
