Amazon Success - $300 Day Yesterday

People wonder why Amazon works - well not that these items are terribly expensive - but I don't even promote them - they are weight loss food items .. and it's just 8 extra sales ... but the fact is you get credit for all sales your cookie generates in 24 hours not just the items you were advertising..

I know you use heatmap themes and ive have had a look at the website. Is heatmap easy enough to install and customise without a lot of technical knowledge?
 
If you know nothing about themes - use one of the 4 - I recommended in the thread - that are available free in BHW Download Theme section.

Heatmap is easy to install like any WP Theme -- but the customizing part well that's something you gotta learn.

Like I said I put 4 themes that are more ready to go in the thread.
 
Hey Danny1111,

I know some people may always see me around posting how I made money from this and that, especially Amazon because it was the first place I made some money!

Anyway today was one of my higher days, I sold 4 products that came up to $453 revenue. I'm excited but this got me thinking that maybe I should start creating my own products or drop-shipping or something. But for now Amazon is fine. But my whole point of this post is to say thanks to everybody that contributed to this thread and especially Danny1111.

I love BHW, I can't wait until I'm making enough to become a JR. VIP, but again thanks Danny1111 you made this easy for me with all the tips you gave in this thread.

Danny or anybody else promoting Amazon are you seeing a lot of click throughs to Amazon without much sales. I have 981 clicks showing in dashboard and just one sale.

Before my site got slapped by G was earning me over $200 regularly for a lot less clicks,so I know the product sells well.

Are buyers just searching for the cheapest deals at the moment.
 
I've said it 100 times - you got to start somewhere - and once you see what is working for you -- then you can change things / modify them and
buy other things to help you.

So I'm really happy to see you made Sales and hopefully it goes nothing but up from here for you .... Good Luck.

(and yes your going to need 10 sites if not 20 sites - just to make your Sales consistent each month - otherwise it will be up and down too much :: so yup get started on number 2 ! )
 
fernando my conversion rate is 16.83% this month which is pretty much inline - as I'm always 10-20% ... when I was just doing autoblogs it was 2-4%

I just think it depends on if your products were involved in Black Friday - Cyber Monday stuff where people were hunting alot for the absolute lowest prices ... I don't do electronics so that doesn't really affect me too much - even though I sell a laptop every so often.

Something else that happens in Amazon Stats - one day they say your clicks are 110 then the next day they say there 312 -- seems they "catch up" on certain days..... although I think your talking month to date in your question.
 
Danny any reason why you think Magento struggles with rankings? I understand about the conversion aspect but why do you feel they are harder to rank?
 
There could be 100 reasons I guess -- but it just seems to me that Google sees right through them as being Amazon Affiliate Stores only - no matter how much content etc you add and how well you do the Seo ... but with Wordpress you add unique searchable content - bam your getting good quality traffic.... Wordpress just doesn't seem to attract the same penalties as Magento does.

Again this is just my experience specifically for Amazon -- maybe different with other goals in mind.

Yeah it's easier for me to do it all manually, but that takes so much time. I'm going to have to learn how to automate more things to make this go a little faster. But yes action is the key!

The clicks are not for the month they have come over last 4 - 5 days Black Friday - Cyber Monday were terrible click through rate for me.

Products are not electronics, before the site was hit it was averaging 1 sale for around every 150 clicks thats why I can't understand 981 clicks for just one sale now.

Will keep plodding along they should pick up eventually.
 
yeah at the end of my post - I wrote I realized that perhaps that was not what you were asking ... anyway I don't have an answer for you -- it's probably something your going to have to play with.

Also I might get banned for a week - I have a disagreement at the moment with KojakFull over his bots that don't work - but hopefully the mods listen to both sides first .. anyway the thread will live on when I come back .. when someone starts lieing - I just can't accept that - it's a matter of principle then.

I only wanted to say one thing today - and it's directed at the guy who made his first site - and got 4 sales and $18.-- in commissions and now starting on his second site.

Just wanted to say look I started this in the exact same position as you - I know it sucks writing your own content / trying to figure out how to customize things and learning new stuff -- then coming to terms with figuring out how to get more traffic .... but you just need a whiteboard and a marker - and make a plan for each day in the week - and make sure you get each days jobs done -- because the cumulative effect will be higher earnings and more satisfaction -- until that one day comes where you just "get it" .. and the whole thing becomes a business.

I have Spinnerchief myself - but its down today - so I just got it installed and using it today myself.

Might be worth a try for some and those on a tight budget.
 
I have a new site. I thought about writing content as I didnt want to pay for content and get low quality. However I'm thinking that this may be the long long route that Im taking. Im going to look at chimprewriter and see how good it is. What other software do you use to rewrite content. I know about wp robot as an autoblogger but how good are these programs when it comes to google ranking your pages?

Danny is Spinnerchief your main way to add articles/reviews/content?
 
No - how I use things like TBS / Spinnerchief / Chimp Rewriter - is for Web 2.0 Sites / PDF Sites

I take the original article and spin it and post to web 2.0 and PDF Sites...... I would never post this type of content on a money site.
Also I take my tags / keywords and stuff like that - Spin Them and add to those fields as well .. just to give more variety.
Hope that explains it -- other people may use them differently.

(You can use Se Nuke / Magic Submitter / Ultimate Demon / Zennoposter / Ubot - to make / manage and to do the posting to your Web 2 Sites.)

Ahhh that explains it. So you write all content on your Amazon associate sites? I've started I guess once you get into it, it gets easier. Like the gym!
 
In the thread earlier I explained what I did about content - but let me write it again.

1. write it myself after research ... articles or reviews
2. buy an Amazon PLR Pack from WF - you see them all the time for $5-$10 -- then I rewrite them myself manually ( I linked to 1 or 2 in the thread earlier )
3. hire a writer -- writers come and go all the time -- right now I'm using Natasha from BHW - but since I just moved to her - she hasn't written anything on my sites yet... she has been doing writing for Seo Clients so far.

Please remember what I found was this -- the more unique / interesting / relevant / problem solving my content was - the faster I ranked better - the more visitors Google sent me .... so ultimately you need great content.... there are no real short cuts with that.
