Amazon Success - $300 Day Yesterday

I would stay away from using brand names in the domain name. I have done it in the past and have been busted a few times. What happens is you receive a Cease and Desist(C&D) letter from an actual lawyer who represents the brand and you have to forfeit the domain. They will take the domain and you will not be reimbursed. Some companies care about this some don't but the risk isn't really worth it. It'd be terrible to have a brand domain making money only to have it wiped out by a lawyer out of nowhere. You usually see these domains available as most internet marketers know to stay away from them. But to each his own. All the best, Boaty

Thanks for the advise. Would using a brand name in a sub domain be ok? For example, ledtvreviews/Sony. ?

* don't use brand names in your url -- amazon don't allow it and your more than likely to get a C&D from the company itself.

* you can see sites in the thread - but no you cannot see my sites (otherwise I'll just see the whole thing as a WSO)

Personally I would stay away from it as some companies would still see it as an infringement on their rights. Correct if I'm wrong anyone but I believe most companies would still view the subdomain the same as the main domain. However if "Sony" were apart of the URL instead of the domain it would be fine such as ledtvreviews.com/sony where as sony.ledtvreviews.com as a subdomain could lead to an issue. Again, it's one of those things you could get away with but if someone wanted it gone it'd be gone.

I've never tried the brand in the subdomain as after the first few times getting busted I just moved on and didn't bother with it. And believe me these companies have lawyers who just work domains. One time I chatted up the lawyer who came after me and told me he had already took down like 250+ sites for his company that month. He not only went after domain names but anyone who made themselves look affiliated with their company.

Considering this, how important is the domain name in regards to my targeted keywords? Or will my content and or backlinks help that issue?
I've got some reading to do. Been out of 'the game' for a while.

* don't use brand names in your url -- amazon don't allow it - thank you , I did not know it

Just wanted to point out an absolute bargain that is available in BHW BST Section

http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...ystem-gmail-pva-instagram-pinterest-more.html

its $47 up front and $9 a month -- for all sorts of accounts

so if you need Gmail / Youtube / Pinterest / Twitter - you can get 10 free accounts a day each without even having to buy proxies
or create anything yourself.

300 Pinterest - 300 Twitter etc for $9 a month .... it's an absolute steal for people who are taking their affiliate marketing seriously.

I just bought it yesterday myself and full disclaimer - I have nothing to do with the service nor do I even know the guy offering it.

I've answered all PM's - some people have asked some good questions and hopefully that helps them figure things out.

But I also get Pm's demanding I get on Skype and help ... demanding I do this and that - pick this - select that - build this

...... I am just not interested in being told what to do .... which is exactly why I don't accept money from people or offer
services ..... if you get this right -- you don't need that -- you will make enough money on your own.

Update :

My use of AddMeFast has grown as clients want their FB Likes - YouTube Views run higher - so I thought I would put
5 Magento Sites that are selling nothing into it - and have them send out a Tweet about each of the 5 Sites.

Well after day 1 - 1 of the 5 sites got 2 sales - $149.99 and $24.99 --- it's not alot but still something considering
how hard it has been to get a sale from them with Seo.

Moral of the story use wordpress -- but if your stuck at least give it a try... see what happens.

All the best.

Couple of good Pm's this morning asking good questions,

please remember this thread is not the only Amazon thread - it's good idea to read them all
take some notes - figure out what you know how to do and what you don't know how to do

then learn that -- and get started. You cannot make money unless you try and work at it
Amazon is work - but once you get it working it pays you every month.

good luck today.

Thanks a lot. Really interesting explanation.

Amazon is a good 'partner' for sure. Trust is the sinews of war. And Amazon excels in this art. Totally justified, BTW.

Also - if you want to know how good your site is :

search the keywords your targeting and look at your competition.

I know it seems simple -- but if a site is better than yours - add some things to your site
use their ideas as well .... you don't have to stare at the screen all day and wonder what else
you could be doing ..... spy on your competitors and make your sites the best they can be.

And yes I know it can be tough to learn how to manage a theme/do logos/add plugins
customize code -- I knew nothing about it either when I started -- but the more you work on it / read
in BHW - the easier it becomes .... and if you make a mistake -- don't sweat it - just start over - or use
a back up of your site.

cheers

Another thing : www.rankwatch.com

you can use the free plan for 30 days -- I think its 50 keywords free

so if your working on a new site and want to see how its doing -- just take advantage of that

after that it's $10 a month for the lowest plan - or just create a new trial I guess if your really short
of money.

there are always ways to make your daily work more efficient.

Hi Danny, right now am using serpfox.com. Is it ok compared with rank watch. Please advice..Tq =)

Congrats. It's always exciting to make money online. I remember how excited I was when I received my first $100.00 payout from google adsense. I was overjoyed.

Chad

you can use whatever rank tracking you like - (assuming its working)

I only suggested that one because it has a 30 day free trial -- so that's as long as I have seen.

cheers

This morning after looking at people's sites for them - again some are done well but many fall into the same category
and that category = fail.

You cannot build a standard wordpress blog with the standard theme - load some products and scraped content and a
buy now at Amazon link - and make $100 a month from the site -- it's just not going to happen.

Readers or WebSearches are looking for answers to their questions first then they will click something and make a purchase
if you try to force everyone to click a BUY BUTTON or have a site full of BUY BUTTONS people will just leave and go somewhere
else.

Please get a premium theme and organize your site and content better (read the thread I guess).

Lastly if your a non english speaker and your trying to sell to USA Visitors - please just buy content from native
english speaking writers. I looked at one site that was full of grammer mistakes and spelling mistakes and personally
if I was trying to read it - I would go to the next site. If your selling in your local Amazon country then no problem
use whatever the local dialect is.

All these issues are correctable - but also the reason why many try and fail ... don't be that person.
