Amazon Success - $300 Day Yesterday

I'm using a premium clickbump theme on my site right now and I think the theme is killing me. After seeing those 2 sites I see that I have A LOT of room for improvement.

it isnt name of theme ;)
accourding to sorce code its called "Netfather" and seems its as gromhold replay its azontheme.

As I said before, I do not recommend both themes because the style is not the best.
Because as the OP sayed, you want to send your traffic to amazon site asap, and those themes I think do not give a good result.

Has anyone tried the BasicZone theme?

What do you guys think about it?

Think the thing with Themes is this.

Let's be honest about it -- there are thousands of marketers using Blogger and very basic sites trying to sell stuff
-- there are thousands of marketers trying to use the base WP Templates to sell stuff

none of which are really attractive to buyers of goods

But if you get a nice premium theme and add images and good content then throw in your text links and buttons you stand a better
chance of getting a "click" -- once you have a "click" then anything they buy you get a commission.

This whole thread is all about making your business different than the mainstream and hopefully more successful. You just have to realize if
you spend 5 minutes making a site and not caring about what the visitor sees - then you simply can't expect it to make you $100 a month -- it
just won't happen.

Study / Learn / Modify / Optimize --> Take Action = Profit
Spend 5-10 minutes throw up trash = Fail

so the whole point of the site is to get the user on amazon as quick as possible...

Thanks Danny, keep up the good work and hopefully you'll reach a steady 300/day.

@Danny How are your sites doing after recent EMD update, most of my emd or partial emd sites have taken a huge dip even with unique content.

Looking through some larger keywords I don't see any Amazon Affiliate Sites in the first 5 pages

but a WP Site like this is 13
w--w--w--**arthritis**pain**relief**blog.com
(remove -- and **)

so I think obviously they slammed a filter into some of the larger words.

However for me my Sales were a bit higher than normal at 27
so I think it honestly depends on where you were competing as to how much it hurt.

For me my biggest loss is Magento Sites I can't generate a single Sale there at the moment... got
to figure that out ASAP.

just looking at something a little different that I don't compete in

cordless drill reviews

**bestcordlessdrillreviewshq.com --- is still page 1 for that along with 3-4 other amazon affiliate sites

so again as I found with my WP sites - it just depends how high up the food chain you were targeting.

Looking at a keyword that I compete in :

one of the top results now is a person who just created a Pinterest Account
loaded all of their blog photos into a board targeting the keyword

and looks like Pinterest replaced all their links.

so not sure that this is what web surfers are actually looking for LOL.

another observation from a few words - basically if your site isn't in the first 5 pages then you aren't going to get traffic

because Amazon and Walmart listings take up most of the spots from pages 5-10. (they don't appear much in 1-5 but 5-10 every listing
is theirs)

Autoblog plugins are so you can add additional products and new products in your niche.

As far as link building goes it depends :

if you have one site - then you should be building links to main page, categories, articles, reviews and direct to the main product sales area.

if you have many sites like me - then I do the above but only the active sites - and less on the sites that aren't selling or their niche is not as trendy.

As far as content same thing - I buy more content for hot sites than cold sites - If I had one site then I would be adding alot of content at this time -- as with this Google change we are not sure how long it will last -- I don't expect it will stay forever otherwise their rankings will be just target / walmart / amazon / homedepot and no-one else and that's not what people are looking for -- they want value / they want to know the product is quality and to be sold -- which is what we do in IM basically.

If your site has been penalized then I would get stuck into Social Media and get traffic that way and keep adding content - and wait it out - don't get frustrated it's just part of business.

My traffic has traditionally been 100% seo and nothing else - but now I am using Social Media more as I have bought some bots and testing them all out....... Just about everything in this post has been talked about in the thread already .. cheers.

Thanks for the info. I will be looking into this as per the suggestions here. Hopefully put a little extra cash in my pocket...
